She'll need to go to trial by jury if she has to in order to try to avoid prison.

Also, this is another reminder to avoid association with people known to use illegal drugs. It's unknown whether she knew the other people in the car had marijuana. It's just a reminder to stay away from illegal drugs, as a method of avoiding attacks by the government.

US justice system is Draconian, but laws in many countries are either utterly stupid and unrealistic, written by people that have never been in that situations writing them at their desks, or are profit driven. Ending in jail is hell, especially for something like that is not going to rehabilitate you but make you even more rebellious, how many ended there innocent or for crimes that are light and result of traffic accidents and ended up with heavy hitters. Justice system in majority of countries is like Swiss cheese.

You become the product of environment, that is if you survive and want to survive with some dignity, it is not all about wrong beliefs and thinking as Samenow would say, it is but that kind of thinking will get you through if you re more less normal, if you do not end up dead, like would you end up raped or would you shank them? To give you example-There is one story crime detective told me about one guy they questioned for something in station. He said that his nick was long nine and that he got that name because guys wanted to rape him in jail so he fought them. One day they put sleeping pills in his meal and he fell asleep waking in medical bay with eight stitches. He was raped by nine of them in row. What he said is that he seemed unfazed and it seemed normal to him while talking about it. One video I watched not long ago is interview with a guy that ended for 40 years in prison, and it is very educational, and another was with a guy that got raped, third is similar story.
