I've been thinking a lot about the metaphors of the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil, having been reading Mouravieff's Gnosis Trilogy and also reading the Paradise Lost article on SOTT.
And I had a bit of an epiphany just now. "Good and Evil", in the terms of this metaphor, are subjective concepts, that depend upon a context. In order to have knowledge of good and evil, you first have to have subjective knowledge, being cut off from the objective knowledge of the Creator.
Therefore, the fruit of the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil IS subjective experience.
The fruit of the Tree of Life is objective experience.
