Trilyte - PEG 3550, Sodium Chloride, Sodium Bicarbonate, KCL soln

Cyre2067

The Living Force
That's the name of the "prep" i got from the gastro's office. Boy, quite an "experience". I really wish i was told to not eat 24 hours prior. I should have did more research into the product, but it didn't seem nearly as intense as it ended up being.

Had oatmeal for breakfast 8am, soup and a large piece of bread for lunch 1215pm, Water all afternoon.

Mixed the Trilyte powder and the pineapple flavoring with filtered water the night before. Chilled overnight in the fridge. Drank the first cup 415pm and 1 more every 10-20 minutes or so. Finished most of the bottle before i got that "STOP" feeling where I know I've reached my limit, regardless of the substance, and i started water only. At about 3, 3.5 and 4 hours after I had three very extreme watery evacuations from my bum. I seriously felt like there was a hose down there the pressure was extreme. I also had some serious bloating for those first three hours. Felt very weak and drowsy.

I also got madd craving for water, and urinated frequently. This stuff is definitely not good, it's like overdosing on salt. My pharmacy gave me the generic, the name brand is NuLYTeLY. Here's a spot where others have commented: _http://www.askapatient.com/viewrating.asp?drug=19797&name=NULYTELY

UGH -- bummer, dude
Sorry ya had to go thru that - my wife is pushing me to get the exam -- I'm holding out for now but that will only last so long, y'know. Seems like every time I turn around someone else is going thru that.

Hopefully, when you picked up the nulytely the pharmacy told you the trick about applying a protective barrier ointment (vaseline, A&D ointment, etc) to your backside before you start drinking the stuff, and to keep re-applying it from time to time. According to first hand stories, it really takes a lot of the sting out of the process.

I hope the results turned out all good.

Actually i just had it done today, and it wasn't bad really. The whole process took less then 3 hours.

I got there, they asked me all sorts of standard medical questions, and then they hooked me up to the heart/o2/blood pressure monitors. The staff was nice and they went over everything and made sure all my questions were answered. The sedative they used was called Propofol. At first they only gave me enough to make me relaxed, but the air they use to blow up the colon so they can see it gave me some nasty cramps, so they gave me more and i was out like a light. After about five minutes i woke back up and the drug started to wear off. It was very quick to clear my system and with 20 minutes i felt sober again.

The worse part was that i didn't sleep at for more then 2 hours last night because i had to keep going to the bathroom. More watery evacuations, not pleasant. The results were good, no colitis, polyps or diseased tissue that they could see. So just your typical IBS seems to be the diagnosis.

Im gonna try cutting out fried foods, as well as gluten, milk, and anything artificial. I also think my symptoms were largely psychosomatic, so changing my lifestyle to incorporate all the lessens i've learned up to this point will probably reverse my condition.

That's great news all around - congrats.

I'm a bit shocked and amazed at what appears to be a huge increase in IBS and other gut misfunctions, as well as what are usually called immune system disorders - skin conditions, asthma, allergies, etc. I don't have statistics, but I've noticed quite an increase in the last few years. Sometimes I'll see mention of a specific condition as increasing to near epidemic levels (in the trade journals that are specific to that type disorder) -- but no one seems to be putting together the big picture that all these different conditions that are increasing suggest one or more common causes. And of course it's no great leap of logic to guess that the cause behind the cause is what the Psychopaths have been doing to the world and the life thereon.

Good luck on resolving your symptoms -- it sounds like you're headed in the right direction on all counts.

Taking the 'literal' oestoteric meaning would mean....:

We've all had a 'gut full' (stomach problems), or, we've all got the "shits" (quite literally, at times).

I sometimes wonder at these nagging ailments and what they mean on a global scale and what our bodies are trying to tell us.

Hmmm -
I've mostly thought of gut issues along the lines of personal issues (expressed as biological issues) -- but it makes sense they could just as easily be reflections of global issues. and no doubt there could be other levels within levels being expressed -- Nice food for thought, Ruth.

While on the subject, I've noticed I hold much tension in my gut - it's difficult to relax enough to let the tension go. As I learn to bring more awareness (and relaxation) to the area, I get "A-HA" moments of seeing connections/reasons for the tension.

The best description for what the tension feels like is Carlos Castenada's description of watching the Flyers with Don Juan when one of the flyers "jumped" and landed close to them. The description Carlos gave of the feeling in the pit of his stomach really hit home - it matched what the tension feels like. This has made it easier to be aware of the tension and helps me visualize effects of the predator physiologically.

I can't help but wonder if something like this is behind some of the increased level of IBS symptoms showing up in the U.S. -- certainly the work of the predator within has become more apparent in U.S. society at large.

much food for thought.
thanks Ruth.
