Well , no one cares about what I say except my kids but I've been thinking about it. I'm sorry if Catholic people around the world found this so offensive. I think of the Mexican people whose religion is such a fundamental part of their lives and I respect that. I also think that if that religion has good things to offer its because of what these people bring to it and there must be sincere priests and nuns. But its not coming out of Rome which is very dark indeed, more so then we know probably. Surely you know this.
Yes I know, and also of the Jesuit Order, Pope Francis came from that order. Much has also been said about that order and there are plenty of articles of SOTT as well and even knowing that, Catholics will follow will follow the mandates of the Vatican or the Pope.
Is not just Mexican people, millions and millions of Catholics around the world in which religion is a fundamental part of their lives, as it is with other religions. For Catholics the Pope is an spiritual leader, whom define the doctrine on faith and morals, being the supreme authority of the Catholic Church. While priests and nuns are non confirmed by the Vatican, priests are ordained by bishops, and nuns take their vows in front of their religious superiors or the local bishop. Bishops are appoint by the Pope after consultations with other members of the Roman Curia. Catholic women religious orders or congregations are managed by the Vatican. Is a is a whole hierarchical order that comes from Rome, you can say that is very dark all that comes from Rome, as it had been through the ages, there are also positive, good results, outcomes, from it. As an example the the Spanish Conquest in Mexico, for many, was a massacre and subjugation of the indigenous people, for others it brought order, knowledge, universities. As seen in this interesting thread
Hispanic identity and the black legend.
Yes they do. And it is a shame that these people were made to feel as if they were being mocked. So I ask you, are these same people who are so upset with what Trump has done as upset with priests sexually abusing children, or a pope who is "woke" or a pope who supports governments who put illegal aliens rights over their own citizens rights?
Catholics were not mocked per se, it was the papal investiture Trump mocked, which upset Catholics.
I cannot tell you about what million of Catholics think, I can tell about friends and families that were upset by Trump's AI, through the years, when there had been news about sexual abused by priests, Catholics regret about it, is very unfortunate not just for the victims, it affects the whole community, they try to separate things so as not to lose faith in religion or its spiritual leaders (Pope, Cardinal, Bishops, Priests, etc., it is good that now they can pay for their faults in jail, and not only sending them away to other countries, churches or parishes. In 2019, Pope Francis
require all Catholic priests and nuns around the world to report clergy sexual abuse and cover-up by their superiors to church authorities, although it doesn’t require them to report to police, as victims have demanded, there are other ways to bring the abusers to justice.
In the case of the Pope being woke or supports illegal aliens as in the underlined text. Is more complicated, as Catholics, they see immigrants/migrants not as illegal aliens, they see them as victims, people that had been forced to be displaced, forced to emigrate to find more secure non violent neighborhoods, countries, to have a jobs in order to feed their families, etc. The concept of "illegal aliens" is not easily understood, I had explained to family members but they prefer to remain in their concept of immigrants/migrants, illegal or not, is not an issue.
Whether governments put illegal aliens rights over their own citizens rights, isn't a direct responsibility of the governments involved? It even seems that they do what they can to ichordize their own citizens. the Catholic Church or the Pope can give advice, but it is the government that carries it out those policies.
That's good to know. I understood it wrongly. My bad.
