Trump Elected: The True MAGA Era Begins, Now What?

I think Trump is being misled about SA and we know that he doesn't read so he is likely getting fed info by people close to him.
After watching the below video and a few others by the YouTuber serpentza, I think I need to change my thoughts about what happened between Trump and Ramaphosa. The videos are pretty eye-opening about the situation in SA, and there ARE huge tracts of white crosses symbolizing dead Afrikaner farmers. I now think Trump was right to take Ramaphosa to task for what he's allowed to happen in his country.

Well, the big beautiful bill as far as farmers go...is a power grab, nothing else.

We just got an tax assessment change notice. As expected our land which is classified as agricultural got 15% hike despite the fact we got property damage due to natural course this year  We are planning on disputing the assessment, but more likely than not nothing will change.
I had a coworker go through the same thing. She went to the county appraisal district to protest and it turns out it was due to the insurance raising the value of the property. My parents' mortgage also increased this year.

In terms of South Africa, in my limited interactions with people in Africa I was surprised to hear that South Africans are known in Africa for being very xenophobic. I was told they do not like immigrants very much as SAs see them as competition. So, it's not surprising to me if they view white South Africans as foreigners and treat them as such, although I'm not certain to call it a race issue.

Even mainstream media/organizations have been discussing such movements:
Xenophobia Rears its Ugly Head in South Africa
South Africa has been grappling with sporadic and sometimes lethal xenophobic harassment and violence against African and Asian foreign nationals living in the country, including refugees, asylum seekers, and both documented and undocumented migrants.

On Monday last week, BBC Africa Eye released a documentary, Fear and Loathing in South Africa, which investigates the rise of xenophobia in the country and follows Operation Dudula, an anti-immigrant vigilante group that is reportedly violently targeting and harassing foreign nationals.

Launched in 2021 in Soweto, and now with branches across the country, Operation Dudula was conceived by South African youth activists in order to address crime and drug usage in Gauteng province’s communities. However, today the movement is better known for calling for mass deportation of undocumented migrants, blocking immigrants from accessing healthcare, raiding businesses belonging to foreign nationals, and forcing their shops to close. The isiZulu word Dudula means “to push out”, denoting pushing foreigners out of the country and back to their countries of origin.

The documentary spotlights how entrenched xenophobia is within the Operation Dudula movement, whose members use language derogatory to foreign nationals and sing struggle songs signifying a readiness to go to war with them. “To tell you the truth, I hate foreigners,” a member of Operation Dudula said. “How I wish they could just pack and go and leave our country.”

A message that came across loud and clear from the movement’s members is that, from their perspective, foreign nationals are the root cause of South Africa’s economic hardship and its challenges delivering needed services. However, as the documentary and various studies highlight, scapegoating immigrants will not improve basic service provision, reduce crime, or address the triple burden of inequality, poverty, and unemployment.

The documentary also points to a worrying trend towards anti-immigrant hate speech in the leadup to the 2024 general elections, with Operation Dudula confirming it will register as a political party and contest the elections.

South Africa’s constitution, which protects both citizens and noncitizens, states that everyone has the right to freedom and security of the person, including the right “to be free from all forms of violence from either public or private sources.” The authorities in South Africa should reaffirm these values and openly speak out against xenophobia, seek accountability for attacks and abuses against foreign nationals, and promote inclusivity and social cohesion.

For a while now, I've thought he's either a Western asset - or a Western idiot. He's made a name for himself by hating on China in an unintelligent way, and his understanding of geopolitics appears to be worse than bad. Example:

If possible I would like to hear from some Americans on this forum who are living there:

What if anything have you personally noticed in American society and economics, and more specifically, in your immediate environment in terms of changes since Trump took over? Also, what do people you know notice? I mean things that you can/see notice yourself and not what you hear secondhand from elsewhere.

For example, have you seen significant improvements such as grocery prices or oil/gasoline prices going down? Any other day to day things you have noticed?

I’m asking because according to Trump things are already starting to change significantly for the better (not only) for common people in a lot of places and areas in America.

Trumps clear mandate and goal is to make America great again and that includes most especially everyday life and people. So I’m wondering what you can see of that?

Does he cite any statistics?

It begins with clips of news reports of murdered farmers interspersed with footage of Malema's opposition party singing the old ANC 'shoot the Boer' revolutionary song. Looks bad, but is far from convincing evidence of genocide. Also, the clip of Ramaphosa urging 'a return to militancy'... in what context was he calling for such? The way it was edited suggests it was South Africa's president encouraging targeted killings, but was it?

Maybe Elon is trying to save Tesla by this very public distancing from Trump, since the customers of his electric cars are probably more left-leaning ("no CO2 emissions").

It is still quite stupid to imply that Trump is a child molester, especially considering that Trump takes things personally and may well cancel SpaceX contracts as he already threatened to.

On the positive side, the technocratic influence on Trump may be lesser now, depending on how involved Elon is in that control system scheme. I remember many people claiming that Elon was "the real president" and things like that.

yep, i was hoping attempt on trump will humble him down a bit and put on track, on a mission he has, but no, he went full retard and started believing he is second after jesus
Maybe idea of Musk is not bad at all, create a party that is not linked to bipartisan swamp

Q: (L) Alright. This is something that's bugging me. Two people told me Trump was a pedophile because he was hooked up with this Jeffrey Epstein. Obviously, nobody is claiming that Trump is an angel or pure as the driven snow. Trump himself doesn't say so. But that kind of bothers me. Did he ever knowingly... How to ask that?

(Pierre) Did he knowingly have sexual interactions with an underage individual?

A: No

Q: (L) So, whoever is making these claims or charges or whatever... It's either a setup, or...

(Joe) You know who's actually leading the most recent one? He's been accused of having sexual whatever with a minor and the girl is being kind of "taken care of" or groomed by a former producer of The Jerry Springer Show.

(L) Oh, you're kidding?

(Joe) He's a diehard anti-Trump kind of guy. I mean, The Jerry Springer Show?!

A: Consider the source.

What if all this is just theater. Enjoy the show? Just a thought.
In that case I don't think Elon would have posted that Trump was in the Epstein files. Even if Trump went to the island and did nothing wrong (or nothing wrong *knowingly* as the Cs suggested), his image will be stained. It will be very hard for the public to believe he's innocent.

I'm just hoping against all hope that this will result in the attention turned towards Epstein's sponsors in Israel.
