Trump Elected: The True MAGA Era Begins, Now What?

We're not in for a new Golden Age, but I'm almost embarrassed at how much I'm enjoying the turn towards common sense, to plain old American normalcy (with all its flaws). I guess it's perhaps the greatest blessing one could ask for after four years in hell.
MAGA times—it's either going to be the beginning of the end or the beginning of a new beginning. 😉

Joel Salatin says the consideration for him as Sec. of Agriculture has been exaggerated in social media. He explains who the other picks where for the position, all but 2 being big money and big chemical industry. Brook Rollins is a ag light weight in his opinion but she hasn't been working for the chemical companies like the other candidates so shows flexibility in her approach.. On Massey not receiving the nomination he says Massey would be another lightening rod and to many of those hinders the process. Massey is doing good work in Congress where he's needed and has bills in the works such as the right of the people to grow food and purchase food from whomever they choose.

Another tactic Trump may try to use to bypass the compromised Congress and take control of the out of control spending.

President-elect Donald Trump has said he intends to cut government spending by reasserting the presidential power of impoundment, a move certain to spark a court battle and one that could redefine presidential power for decades to come.

Impoundment occurs when the president chooses not to disburse funds authorized by Congress; instead leaving them unspent in the U.S. Treasury.

This power is not mentioned in the Constitution but has been employed by presidents since Thomas Jefferson. Congress enacted limits on the practice 50 years ago.

Now, Trump intends to challenge the Impoundment Control Act of 1974 (ICA), which he believes is unconstitutional.

I will use the president’s long-recognized Impoundment Power to squeeze the bloated federal bureaucracy for massive savings,” Trump said when announcing his plan in June 2023.

Others say the ICA was needed to prevent the misuse of impoundment to alter congressional spending priorities, not merely eliminate waste.

Expanded use of impoundment power seems certain to be challenged in court.

Resolution is likely to hinge on two constitutional questions that define the balance of power between the executive and legislative branches of the federal government.

I think this one will backfire because it's almost like he'll be using tariffs to perform the function of sanctions. It's one thing to introduce tariffs to protect domestic industry from cheaper overseas competitors, quite another to use them to try to influence trade deals and agreements between other countries or otherwise control them. I think he has to give up on the idea that the US dollar has the power that it used to and he forgets that one of the reasons behind the formation of BRICS was to break US hegemony.

I agree with what you said completely. American ignorance has no bounds.

As mentioned above the entire west is now a slave to its dreams, to its own blood-feeding creature. The europeans parents have given carte blanche to the bloodthirsty US babies, who basically don't understand shit and in full teenage tantrum throw anathemas full of spiritual energy. There is no force that can counterbalance a demon released by a monk who believes himself to be the embodiment of god, supported by prayers of his subjects. The only chance is given by Xi ( russia has no actual spiritual power). And it is not in itself a STO possibility. Only a STS balance.Ihmo
