Trump Elected: The True MAGA Era Begins, Now What?

Saw this Ron Paul X and glad I did. There's a lot more to REAL ID than most people realize! I was considering giving in and getting one as my son and his family live in Colorado and it's really not practical to drive although we made plans to do so before our son said he'd just fly to us! Then there's the barred entry to Federal buildings as well. Fortunately, no jury duty for several years to worry about.

Not necessary to listen to the whole thing as the important parts are in the beginning to maybe just past the middle. Plus, you can speed it up a little without losing speech quality.

Ron Paul: REAL ID is one of the greatest threats to Americans' civil liberties in decades.

As stated in the conversation, Noem's announcement resulted in real pushback on X which I was very glad to hear. Maybe people aren't as stupidly complacent as thought! Her action along with all the other tyrannical actions Trump and Co. are engaging in is more than disturbing! MAGA better wake up and smell the coffee and stop going along with these insane violations of our freedoms and liberties!

Can you tell us what you heard?
It's better to listen to the vid, but basically, the REAL ID is a threat to the 2nd Amendment, and just about anything can be added on to it including making it a vax passport and restriction of movement across country or even out of state, plus so much more. The author of the Patriot Act also introduced REAL ID - need I say more? Ron Paul has called it out for some time particularly as to its non-effect against plane hijacking and other foreign terrorist attack - he explains all the reasons quite well. Definitely worth a listen - he certainly changed my mind about it.

Considering that most countries do not accept driver's licenses for domestic flights like the US does, the requirement of Real ID for driver's licenses to be used for domestic flights is a rather minor step - but of course in the wrong direction.

US passports can be used for identification instead of driver's licenses for domestic air travel, but not passport cards apparently.

It's better to listen to the vid

Ron Paul brings up Rep. Thomas Massie which brought to mind an interview with him that I watched, but need to watch again as so often happens, I doze off before they're over. But, the key part was at the beginning I think and it was quite the shocker. Our legislators have to PAY to be on the various committees with the most powerful ones commanding very big bucks!

This vid goes for almost an hour; vid description:

Congressman Thomas Massie joins The Winston Marshall Show to lift the lid on Washington’s broken spending machine and Congress's Silent Coup against President Trump. He takes aim at the lobbyists and party bosses who sabotaged key parts of the MAGA agenda, from slashing federal spending to dismantling the Department of Education. Massie sounds the alarm on a compromised Social Security database, raising fears over non-citizen voting—and calls for an end to omnibus bills that keep the government lurching from one shutdown threat to the next. All this, Trump-era dysfunction, tariff truth bombs, and a rare voice for fiscal sanity in D.C…

I gave trump the benefit of the doubt but now for me he is no different then all the other "presidents" after Kennedy.

Let’s see, in his 90 days so far, he has committed genocide in Yemen and Gaza, flip flopped on the Ukraine war, threatened Iran with war after he tore up the previous peace deal. His administration has granted fast track status to a new a self-amplifying mRNA vaccine. His homeland security chief Kristi Noem is pushing patriot act-era REAL ID program. He back tracked on his ridicules tariff war making him look feeble and clownish. And the icing on the cake is his administration wants to arrest and ruin people like Candace Owens and Tucker Carlsen for exercising their first amendment right regarding Israel. This after they were both instrumental in his re-election.

I said it before and ill say it again America and the western system died on November 22, 1963.

Pretty much my sentiments as well.

His homeland security chief Kristi Noem is pushing patriot act-era REAL ID program.
I agree with your sentiments but REAL ID was created in 2005 and the May 2025 implementation was put in place back in 2022 after multiple extensions. I'm not sure how you see Noem as being the villain there. The REAL ID Act was passed by Congress.

Do they need WHO, when they are aligned with Israel?
The WHO seems to be a project of the globalists (Trump's enemies) and the question is whether the globalists and zionists are indeed opposed to each other ("Soros vs Netanyahu") or if it is just for show.

I gave trump the benefit of the doubt but now for me he is no different then all the other "presidents" after Kennedy.
Trump is doing both good and bad, whereas what the complete puppets before him did was always bad. Some things may also take more time, eg. RFK jr's work.

Everything regarding Israel is where we see Trump at his worst, including free speech restrictions in the US.

How the tariffs will work out is far from certain, both the US and China may suffer if no consensus is reached. The chaotic way Trump did it and his narcissistic proclamations are counterproductive to what he is trying to achieve though.

One thing I did not know about is that in China the use of the number 4 is avoided because 4 sounds similar to "death" in Chinese. Which raises the question why Trump went out of his way to insult them with 34%, 84% and 104% tariff numbers, before settling at 125%.

Right, and for clarity I didn't intend to imply that Noem is being the villain. Her name came up because her department is in charge of enforcing the REAL ID Act and she was in the news talking about its implementation.

Well the one thing that makes him exactly the same, unlike his first term, he has innocent blood on his hands now.
Trump has even more innocent blood on his hands from "Operation Warpspeed" in his first term, though admittedly he was against forcing the mRNA injections on anyone.

If he does not start any major wars just like in his first term, then that would be also a major difference. He seems to prefer trade wars.

I think that the idea that "Trump is exactly the same as those before" is basically black-and-white thinking that unnecessarily ignores or downplays the positive aspects.
