I found this video, and you gotta watch this. I don't know if Trump was really making fun of the situation just because he saw The Simpsons, but it is worth to watch.

The Simpsons Trump Episode was aired in March 2000, and the real thing happens in 2015.

Checked into this and it looks like that episode of the simpsons aired last year, 2015.

I checked that thing as well, apparently some sources say it really was an episode from 2000, but was deleted, and then reappeared in a 2015 archive series. :/

A little research.
On wikipedia it says it was in season 11. S.11 was from Sept.26 1999 to March 21 2000. It is episode 243, aired March 19 2000.
Now google: "Donald Trump's Campaign Began with an Escalator Ride"
Check the dates of each post. I literally just did this myself, im a little wierded out, lol. Because the posts say they are from June 16 2015.
I didn't want to believe it myself

EDIT:
There were 2 episodes related to this, Barn to the Future - which aired in 2000, which mentioned that Trump would become a president, and it was linked to his candidacy in 2000. The other one was the one Joe mentioned - Trumptastic Voyage, which was a short 1:33 clip that aired on 7/7/2015.
The real footage of Trump going down the escalator is from June 16, 2015, prior to the air date of "Trumptastic Voyage."
