Trying to find an older post - dilemma about medicine and a sick wife

I am looking for an older post that I cannot find. I am pretty sure it was started by Laura. The post was this hypothetical situation regarding a man and his sick wife. There is a merchant in town who has the medicine needed to cure the wife, but the man cannot afford it. The post was about what you would do in that situation.
