I'm interested if perhaps someone saw this also, and if you can recognize this kind of UFO activity.
On the 12. of August, around 2 in the morning, my brother and I went out to observe the Perseid meteor shower on the island of Krapanj. We supplied ourselves with beer and cigarettes and a nice blanket to lay on, and went away observing in the dark parts of the island. There is very little light pollution where I'm from so you can see the Milky Way quite nicely. The only pollution is visible from the north, and it's not much, coming from the town of Šibenik, which is a small town of some 40000 souls.
We watched for about an hour and saw a nice number of meteors mostly small and short lasting ones, but then we noticed something that we assumed was a satellite directly above us; a dim light high up moving quite fast, so we followed it.
After some 10 seconds it started behaving weirdly: it started slowing down, speeding up, moving from side to side, changing course, even doing O-turns, and S-turns, at moments stopping in mid air, only to go on again. After that one, we saw another 7 of these.
They behaved in the same manner, only some of them were a bit brighter than the brightest star in the sky that night. As one would get dimmed out near the horizon, another one would appear high up, and we'd follow it all over again.
They would always appear as a light going on a straight line, but as we would follow them they'd start doing these impossible maneuvers, but would always keep the same general course as when we'd notice them, like they had to go from point A to point B, but HAD to travel in this non-linear fashion.
It was a real show, and we were really puzzled as to why we were seeing so many of these. We'd both seen things like this before, but they were always isolated cases, and this was like a UFO promenade that night.
Our conclusion was that the aliens must be drunk, and that's the only reason they come to earth, to get all the kinds alcohol we humans produce.
