Myth of Myself

There is a beautiful meadow just a 15 min hike from where I live. Yesterday a friend came by to have an early dinner with my roommates and I before going to a Halloween Ball in town. I suggested that we take a hike to the meadow before dinner and enjoy the trees alight with fall colors. So off we went.
There is a medicine wheel in the meadow that is about 12 ft across that is aligned with the four directions and has large quartz crystals and obsidian stones in it. It is a beautiful place for meditation and it is also used for vision quests as well. We were all rather quiet and just enjoying the clearing and contemplating the wheel in turns. I look up and see what appeared to be a bright star or a planet and point it out to everyone else. These were the only two explanations of the object at first, it being a star or planet, but upon consideration of the amount of sunlight that was still across the sky, it didn't make sense.
So we talk and continue to look up every now and then to see if the object has moved or not. Then the object which again, resembles a bright planet/star in broad daylight, begins to rise or move upwards into the sky, then a haze or ripple effect appeared around it before it faded out of sight.
There were five of us all together and we all saw the object. The funny thing is that I'm currently reading "The High Strangeness........".
So naturally we all admitted that there was no "popular" explanation for the event and we headed back down the trail towards our house. I mention concepts from the book that I'm reading and say it's weird to witness such a thing while reading a book on the topic of abduction and other entities.
Then when we get down the trail approximately 5-7 min after seeing the object, we look towards the part of the sky that it was in and there is a lone chemtrail in the area of sky that the object was sighted in. Maybe it is a total coincidence but the series of events are rather odd. Some days there are lots of chemtrails, but over the past week the activity has slowed down. The only chemtrail I witnessed yesterday was the one in that particular point of the sky soon after seeing the object.
Any similar experiences from anyone as of late?
