What do ya'll think? Looks a but 'cgi-ish' to me.

Well here's another clip from the same guy taken two days before: http://www.youtube.com/user/alymc01#p/a/u/1/8nN6mhnD7E0

Yes the lights do look kind of cgi-ish, but the scenes themselves, sounds, people around, talking seems quite genuine so I don't know!

Maybe they're rehearsing for the Olympics?

One of the commenters on the original youtube video mentioned that the weather on other uploaded videos is different. Here it's overcast and in the original it's cloudy but sunny.

Speaking of Olympics, here is a video of what is most probably Russian TV channel's April fools joke.

Sochi: the clouds turned into the Olympic symbol (unique video)

Sochi is going to host 2014 Olympics. In the video (in Russian) you can also see people taking videos of the clouds, they even have clouds expert that explains the "phenomena".

I have seen flying lights quite similar to that, not at that time of day, but in daylight (afternoon) and evening.

I have never bothered with filming them because I don't figure it matters whether I ever get em recorded or not.

There are so many reports, some true, some false, but from my own experience, though I do not know what it is I have seen, I HAVE seen "them".

So I tend to think this is a legitimate video clip.

Cheers.

Well my first impression was i am not impressed. These things do move in strange ways and I can say that because i´ve seen quite a few , but this particular footage .Hmmm. Put it in the same category as bad 2011 crop circles.

Another video from London filmed on the 24 as well. Same light passing over the London tower bridge.

Looks neat, and adding a CGI effect on top of a lousy phone camera feed which wobbled and warped around like that, would be challenging.

However. . , I didn't see or hear people reacting in a manner which I thought fit the supposed stimulus.

When that big white disk started doing those dramatic maneuvers, I would have expected to hear people gasp out loud, "Whoooa!" rather than nothing.

Also, other pedestrians were not uniformly playing along. If regular folk were to look up and see such spectacular visuals, you'd think there would be more excitement on the ground and persistent watchers. Even the other viewers with cameras seemed a bit blase about it all, as if they didn't have the timing down for when to look excited.

Those are just my initial impressions.

I saw this last weekend over Olympia Washington. My first attempt at posting my experience here failed and I haven't had the chance to type it again. I will have it posted in a few hours.

Unless it was added later or tracked on, not too big of a challenge.

That was my impression aswell.

I saw this and thought that this was the most generic tourist video framing I ever saw, on a camera stand even. There's the American 'look out there' and Italian tourist chatter which seemed fake and composited with the thought that this video was made to support the other one.

I haven't seen anything like this, not this kind of flying and in daytime but if I had a camera handy I'd sure film it but think it really wouldn't matter to post it if the footage is as unclear as most footage is. Everything in that unclear 2d plane of most UFO videos could easily be CGI'ed as we cannot really tell from lack of 3d data.

I wonder what SOTT's take on the value of such videos. There's a need to report the sightings even if they are likely faked, to take whatever data we can from them? A benefit I could see from them is that I get a slight jolt of remembering the bigger or more overarching matrix.

fwiw one of the UFO's doesn't disappear behind the building properly...so poor CGI or a really bright light?

The Daily Mail reported it on its website.

Are aliens getting less camera shy? UFOs filmed above BBC building in London

If UFOs are real and trying to get our attention perhaps they are getting a little more savvy about the way we humans work.

A new video has emerged purporting to show 'a mothership and its fleet' zipping around in the clouds above a BBC building in West London.

Perhaps the group of intergalactic travellers was hoping for some coverage from Auntie.

Instead they were caught on camera by a passer-by, and at least one other person who can be seen filming or taking pictures on his camera phone while the video is filmed.

In the video, the cameraman runs towards the corner of Bolsover Street and Clipstone Street where two other men are already standing, gazing skywards, one of whom is using a mobile phone camera.

As the camera is pointed upwards, over the BBC's Yalding House, three white dots flash across the sky at great speed in a triangle formation, they are very quickly followed by two similar sized white dots.

As the camera pans down again, two people on the opposite side of the road can also been seen watching events unfold above them.

Then one larger, bright and more slow moving disc-shaped white object appears, circles around briefly and zips off.

By this time a crowd of five people have gathered on the street corner to observe. A Scottish man's voice is heard off camera saying the word 'UFO'.

Shortly after another Scottish man's voice is heard saying: 'Are you getting that up there? I couldn't see before because the sun as flashing by.'

Far be it from us to suggest that the video is a hoax, but were people so minded then that part of London is home to a great many production houses offering both the expertise and facilities to mock up a convincing video.

Another similar video posted by alymc01 appears to have been filmed from the office of The Mill, a company which creates visual effects for the film industry.

But as the person who circulated the footage wrote in order to circumvent the cynical naysayers: 'If you believe it's easy photoshopped why don't you make a video & show us all.'

The video was originally uploaded to YouTube by 31-year-old user alymc01, but it has been more widely circulated by a user called EllasVirgo, who on his YouTube profile describes himself as a farmer from Australia.

Virgo's YouTube channel is filled with space, asteroid and UFO-related snippets, including videos with titles such as 'More proof Nasa is lying'.

In the brief text accompanying the video Virgo wrote: 'UFOs Over London BBC Radio 1 Building.

'Right - took over a week to get it....but finally managed to get these critters on camera on a clear day, and even get a close-up

'It seems to be attracting quite a crowd now when they appear

'Can anyone explain what on earth these lights are please?'

The video was uploaded on June 26 and, given that Virgo says it took more than a week to source, and that he states in the description that it was shot on a Friday in June, the film was made on either June 3, 10 or 17.

I'm undecided - but it's hard not to take notice of the fact that one of the videos was shot from the office of a company that makes special effects for films! They do feel cgi-gi - which doesn't necessarily mean they're not real. If more videos and testimonies appear, maybe that will make for a stronger case.

On the other hand, I don't think that the reaction of the people is abnormal. In many other videos (likely genuine, I think) people are rarely hysterical. They are usually curious and nervous but not overreacting.

I agree. In fact, I have seen more cases of fake ones with overreacting people than otherwise. In general people is curious, and stops to see for a few minutes, then they continue with their lives... Probably because it is just a UFO and not an alien going out of the spaceship.

Regarding this video it is very difficult. It seems true, but current technology for special effects can do the same, I guess; so it is not easy to figure out.
