UK SOTT News not updated

Recently I recommended SOTT news to several people. Later some of them said it is not updated regularly

I have noticed this myself but mainly only for the UK news section.

Today is 30th November and the last date the UK section was updated was 26th November

I regularly submit articles for the UK section so am wondering if there is anything else I can do to help out

A number of the editors are located in the US and it's the big Thanksgiving weekend so updates from them are sporadic. Things should pick up Monday.

That's the reason I started submitting UK articles a few months ago.

Hi Ocean,

What I have noticed while reading SOTT for several years, is that even though articles are from UK newspapers, which many are, the articles themselves are under categories such as Around the World, or Axis of Evil, etc. They are located in categories that the articles pertain to.

I realized this after you posted what you did above because I read SOTT first before coming to the forum and have usually already read the articles you have put up here for the SOTT editors so I know that they are there, just not always under the UK category as they have to do with other places.

Do you look at other categories other than the UK one? If not, you should. I think that you would see your articles in other categories. Don't know if this explains it or not, it's just what I have noticed.

Yes I always look at other categories, in fact I normally do a search of keywords on the SOTT page before I submit articles

And yes you are right, some are in Big Brother, Grand Theft Economics categories etc. so I know this too

There were a few high profile news stories related to UK about 3-4 months ago and none of them appeared on SOTT

What I've noticed about the articles on sott is that they always relate to material and concepts which people who are trying to wake up should know about to give them a better knowledge of 3rd D STS, "the terror of the situation", or which would help people who are more asleep and not so esoterically minded to wake up, all on one page.

So, with that in mind, I too have read or heard news stories about things which are of interest to people in the U.K. (because I live there) or even the world in general, but which don't do so much to help one understand and learn the problems of life in relation to the material by the C's, G., etc.

Ocean you are coming across as if you are being personally slighted. As if SOTT is not meeting your expectations. That SOTT is making a big mistake if they would only do as you request. I am not sure who you are but you need to understand that the entire SOTT effort is done by ALL volunteers. No one gets paid, no one.

Everyone working on the SOTT pages and scanning news around the world very much appreciates your efforts and those of any others that post articles here that may not be up on SOTT. It is great.

Here though I would ask you if the German news is served as well as the UK news? Or the French or Spanish news or the Indonesian news or ....

Having some perspective on the hundreds of hours that are volunteered daily to get what we have cannot get everything that needs to be gotten. Rather than complaining just about the UK and how great an opportunity is being missed perhaps you could help directly. You do post some very good articles.

If it is OK with you I will recommend that someone from SOTT contact you so that you can help directly.

Then you should apply to become a sott editor. send an email to sott(at)sott.net I sent an email to your forum email address and it was returned as undeliverable.

I am able to e mail my application, but unfortunately my ISP has blocked the groups, so can only read mails but not able to reply

Working on SOTT probably entails logging into the groups, which sometimes I am not able to do- A LOT - recently as my ISP blocks it.
At the moment this method - submitting articles through the forum - is the only way I can work on SOTT

It is best if you just continue to post stories that interest you in the suggested story section as you have been. Those that the editors feel should be carried by SotT will be.
