Underwater Discoveries

I've tried to search for any discussion about these recent discoveries of artifacts from the submerged quarter of ancient Alexandria, but have come up empty handed. Has this been discussed here?

I find these things a little disturbing and am not too sure what to think. Statues that have been under water for 1600 years, coming out in almost pristine condition? I first thought was of "Project Blue Beam". And then I read some of the comments on FB about the post that came up on my wall about the subject.

It was like a hoard of new agers completely enthralled with it all, ending every comment with "love and light to you for sharing this". But the most insane comment went something like this: The new age of truth is upon us where we will have to unlearn all the lies about our history and the REAL truth shall be revealed. So now I'm REALLY thinking Project Blue Beam - archeological discoveries that will "prove" to the world that all the existing religions were wrong, leading us toward a one world religion.

What's up with that?

I found the link to the FB page:

I can't seem to find the original page of comments by FB users that includes the one I mentioned above. After checking out the story I don't understand what it is about these discoveries that warranted such a bizarre comment. He seemed to be saying that the truth about our past was being revealed by these discoveries, and that they were going to prove history, as we know it, wrong. Pretty strong statement, in my opinion.

Another user felt it was an obvious hoax because of the remarkable condition of the artifacts. I don't see it conclusive one way or the other, but I was wondering if anyone knew more on the subject.

And thank you Pashalis for the links. The first one was new to me and really informative.

Ah, I also realize now that this was discovered years ago, not recently. My mistake. But it was posted just yesterday by some one named Cosmic Mind, on Facebook, and the comments were also all from yesterday.
