I want to document the sequence events I have been watching about the unfolding drama in Bombay. It is amazing. what I currently see in indian channel 'Times Now' ( part of 'Time Group') and what I see american channels CNN ( which seems have prepared very well like 911 lining up their experts suggesting it as a extention of global war on terror etc. irrespective of any request from india for help or any thing ) amazingly completly different. All the american experts talking as if INDIA is the another state of United states. This is totally
all the following timings are US Eastern time wednesday.
3:30 PM - My friend came to me and said you now bombay was bombed and he was showing me CNN IBN internet coverage. I discounted saying 'it is same as Delhi bombs where they covered up CIA connection with Kenneth Haywood, the guys whose computers were used to repeatedly send threat mails. Indian press became silent about Kenneth Haywood connection became clear and diverting the blame to a muslim guy.
5:30 PM : WCBS : While driving back , I put WCBS 880AM radio , I was surprised at the amount of the coverage . At that time it is still unknown that any american's involved in the victims list , though there are news that hijackers are looking for UK, US passport holders. 80 people dead.
6:30 PM : WCBS announced that Bush was being continually briefed of the situation .
WOW !. Our discredited emperor was briefed . It is extraordinary that Indian news is getting so much coverage. I thought some thing serious going on
Meanwhile with uneasy with the news I started changing the channels , Suprisely even the talk show hosts were asking the callers are they willing to Go to India? Interesting spread . As Indian news doesn't get much coverage.
7:15 PM : CBS has announced the counter intelligance started working on how to Help.

7:30 PM : I came back home and switched on the TV to see the only indian channel I get 'TIMES NOW'. They are showing the burning the Taj hotel and Oberoi hotel. commando was already in the hotel for last 3 hours.
My experience with his channel is appaling . When I followed the last Delhi blasts events , This channel didn't even talked about Kenneth Haywood story ( whose computer was used to send the threat mails in multiple blasts across india , he misteriously gone out of police custody and voluntarily came back, just before the latest Delhi blasts ) when all other internet and TV channels covered the story during first 2 days of the blast and when the Home Minister brought the new player to dislodge the Kenneth Haywood story , it is Times Now TV channel Immediately picked up .
Just a Week back, I was watching one of the india's favourite program on TV - Advertisement. Suddenly from nowhere in the middle of an advertisement they were showing pictures of old terrorist attacks. This is completely odd and insane. Why the hell these guys showing terrorist attack pictures in between the paid advertisement. This is shocking.
7:45 PM : They showed a Medical help call from a woman from the one of the abducted hoteol Taj. called her self a doctor asking for medical help for a man who was has a bullet wound on the stomach. she mentioned that there 35 people in side , she didn't say captive but she said she was wounded.
8:00 : the news there is a marriage party in which around 100 members are still inside. and they are not captive.
One interviewed westerner who came out of hotel said " they took 30 to 40 people from the restaurant and they were asking who has passports of US or UK , One guy said he is a Italian, so they let the italian go".
8:15 PM : It is moring the live footage moved to hijacked Jewish house in colaba. ( 5 israel family there and 4 hijackers are holding them 11:30 PM info. )

Even the police are not suspecting of terrorism or who were in the Van when the journalist started showing Van. The announcer clearly mentioned that police doesn't know who was inside .
Then how the Times reporter knows about the van and why he is he shooting the Van ?
9:00PM : My bored spouse switched the channel to CNN's Larry King Live . Larry king was interviewing the CNN's white house correspondent about the incident in india.
'How does white house look at it. is it India's internal affair or broader war on terror'?. The question it self is a shock to me and the answer much more shocking ' India is an US allay and recently got concession for nuclear treaty, we consider it part of Global War on Terror'.
Not a single indian Political leaders comment or interview in relayed in this 6 hrs of the show. All the story unilaterally going on from US media. It could be a reason of the time diference, but still silence from either New delhi or local Maharastra Govt whose capital is Bombay Appalingly NONE.

Funny part of the entire episode, there is a Flood of people coming to see the drama with absolute NO FEAR of any sort coming to see free show at a picnic .
