US conceding defeat on Syria regime change issue?

As for negotiations with Putin over Syria, it appears the humiliation is now complete.

As AP reports, "U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry on Tuesday accepted Russia's long-standing demand that President Bashar Assad's future be determined by his own people, as Washington and Moscow edged toward putting aside years of disagreement over how to end Syria's civil war."

"The United States and our partners are not seeking so-called regime change," Kerry said, adding that the focus is no longer "on our differences about what can or cannot be done immediately about Assad."

Well, I don't think they're accepting defeat: I think that they're just pushed into such a corner that they have to say things they don't mean, to keep their image.

Either way, It's pleasant to witness.

I thought long and hard about posting this link. I (along with entire forum) know its unreliable nature. But sometimes -- and some aspects -- are maybe right on the money. Even if often not. So here goes:

Please take this with a grain of salt. But as most are already doing that each morning, I felt safe.

FWIW.

Since I've gone down that road, I might as well include this: (Mods please relocate to the proper thread as you see fit.)

It's about Stanley Kubrick. A prior to death confession. Fascinating -- regarding both his remorse and his pride on this deceptive deed. Truly a pact made with the Devil.

FWIW ... along with the salt.

Well, while Kerry says one thing, the State Department spokespeople continue to say that nothing has changed. So, my bet is that they're just speaking out of both sides as a means of crazy making and will continue doing the only thing they know how to do - inflicting chaos, destruction wherever possible. Looks like they may be renewing the battleground in Libya and Afghanistan and we might be seeing more activity there in the new year. It's awful because both states have already endured so much destruction.

Publisher A. Müller from grenzwissenschaft-aktuell.de said that he got many questions about Stanley Kubrick's video-statement.

A. Müller wrote in this article _http://www.grenzwissenschaft-aktuell.de/grewi-kommentar-zu-angebl-kubrick-interview20151216/ that he asked Douglas Trumbull, a special-effect specialist and close coworker from Stanley Kubrick (while filming 2001: A Space Odyssey) – is that person on video really Stanley Kubrick?

Douglas Trumbull answered:

„Not Kubrick. Please do not waste my time on this idiocy.“

Could be.

But Kubrick sure left many clues (subtle and not so subtle) in his films.

FWIW.

Not to mention that Victoria "f-the EU" Nuland was right by his side nothing good could come with that reptile in the room. I doubt their goals have changed.
