Perhaps somewhat symbolic?

The story you posted is very sad, the loss of such a fine Bird :(; American Bald Eagles are so grand to watch sore :wow:.

Your story got me thinking about an older video called 'Bird on a Wire' or at least then that is what it was called. Electrical phased voltage potentials/grounding - path to ground are tricky things and utility infrastructure have claim many avian feathers and a few 3d's, too. This video describers a human working on an elevated kv. line and he is suited in a nomex steel thread Faraday cage and becomes like the bird on a wire, of the same voltage potential.

You know....I didn't think much of this until I read this article today
Two race horses die from 'electric shocks' at Newbury racecource, England
http://www.sott.net/articles/show/223861-Two-race-horses-die-from-electric-shocks-at-Newbury-racecource-England

Two horses collapsed and died in the parade ring in front of astonished onlookers at Newbury racecourse, with an electrical fault suspected to be the cause.

The case is being probed by the British Horseracing Authority, who have announced a full investigation.

The horses, Fenix Two and Marching Song, were being paraded before the first race when they fell to the ground for reasons yet to be explained.

The racecourse later announced that the remainder of the day's racing had been abandoned as a precaution.

"This is a very sad day and our thoughts are with all the connections of the two horses who died," racecourse joint-managing director Stephen Higgins said in a statement.

He later told BBC Radio 5: "We've contacted the local authority.

"We've got the electricity board here having a look but until they've both completed their investigation we're not any clearer.

"It's just one of the most bizarre things that most of us here have ever seen," he added.

Professor Tim Morris, the BHA's director of Equine Science and Welfare, said in a statement: "Whilst there are suspicions that an electrical fault was the cause and this is being looked into by the racecourse and relevant authorities, it is important that we investigate other possible causes."

Samples from the horses involved are to be analysed as well as the water supply.

Former champion jumps jockey and Channel 4 Racing pundit John Francome said: "Three lads involved looking after the first horse that came down said they got a pulsing feeling coming through the horse.

"It seems it was something electrical."

Ex-champion trainer Nicky Henderson withdrew his runner Kid Cassidy. The horse had also buckled in the paddock but recovered and went to the start where the runners were all checked out.

Kid Cassidy was said to be fine but Henderson thought the horse "desperately keen" and withdrew him.

Henderson told BBC Radio 5: "It all happened in exactly the same spot in the parade ring.

"It was all at one end when the horses went on the grass and as you know horses have metal shoes and they puncture into the ground.

"Whether there is a (electric) line through there I've no idea but I'm sure someone is going to tell us," he added.

"But I know it has been mentioned that when they were taking the saddles off the horses they were getting shocks off them."

The first race was run but the remaining six called off.

The mass animal die off's, the shrinking of earth's magnetic field, the magnetic field fluctuations of the sun (seeming all to point to electrical discharge/the electric universe theory....) seemed to be linked.
I remember reading about the die-off's last month and feeling like people would start 'dropping dead' for 'no reason'.
If something as large as a horse can drop dead....I'm starting to wonder if these fears aren't justified.

With that in mind, should that start happening....sitting in your car (it'll act as a Faraday cage) may help (safest place to be in a lightning storm)...but who knows.

In Alaska there is a controlled feeding station ( perhaps instigated because of more recent very cold winters?) where bald eagles congregate and become extremely confiding, allowing close views like this -

:O

FWIW, here is an earlier article about an eagle colliding with a train from the Washington Post. :/

If there is a more clear example of a start symbolic message, I can't think of it. With what we suspect about the effects of comets on the planet, the fact that an American Bald Eagle, THE symbol of the USA, gets electrocuted is just, well...I have no words. It is so much in people's faces it's hard to grok.

Yes very symbolic Perceval, perhaps this too is an equally symbolic message.

Bald eagle found dead in Venice

Staff report

VENICE - Residents who have watched the activities of a pair of bald eagles near the Venice airport for several months were mourning the death of one of the adult eagles this morning.

Wildlife officials were called to an area on Airport Avenue near Agape Flights around 9:30 a.m. today after someone found the bald eagle dead.

Wildlife officials were called, and have since removed the bird from the location; it was not immediately clear if a necropsy would be performed.

The birds were living in a 6-foot-wide nest estimated to weigh about 700 pounds in a pine tree near the headquarters of Agape Flights, the Christian aviation ministry located at 100 Airport Ave.

There was no blood on the dead eagle, so neighbors speculated it may have flown into a power line in the area. A couple dozen people huddled around the dead bird this morning after its discovery became known.

“It's a sad day around here,” said Agape Flights Executive Director Allen Speer. “We've been watching the eagles for months.”

Another eagle, believed to be the dead eagle's mate, was seen flying around the area and screeching throughout the morning. It later flew back into the nest, witnesses said.

The bald eagle is the symbol of America, and used to be endangered but in recent years had protections removed due to a resurgence in populations nationwide.

Perhaps you need to go to a cute animal forum in the future. This thread is the truth, and this forum deals in the truth.

Maybe more symbolism? A recent report of an injured bald eagle right in the heart of the evil empire.

Metro train gets special passenger: An injured bald eagle

By Martin Weil, Published: February 26

Courtesy of Metro - Metro Transit Police worked with the Raptor Conservancy of Virginia and Alexandria Animal Control to rescue an injured American bald eagle on Saturday near the Van Dorn Street Station on the Blue Line in Virginia.

A special Metro train rolled down the rails Saturday on one of the transit system’s more unusual missions: saving an injured bald eagle.

The bird, the proud symbol of the United States, had been spotted a couple of days ago inside the fence that lines the Blue Line in Alexandria, Metro spokesman Dan Stessel said.

After wildlife specialists decided that the eagle, with an apparent broken wing, could not fly out on its own, a decision was made to send a special train for it.

Carrying wildlife specialists and transit police, the rescue train headed from King Street to pick up the eagle, about 300 yards outside the Van Dorn Street station, behind the 5300 block of Eisenhower Avenue. Regularly scheduled trains were routed onto single tracks around the site for a time.

The bird was found, stabilized and taken to the Raptor Conservancy of Virginia in Falls Church for rehabilitation and eventual release, Metro said.
