V: The Second Generation

I guess it's been "coming soon!" for two or three years now, with many of the original actors, to boot. IMDB note says it's in"production hell."

Here's the synopsis:

The three-hour television movie will be called V: The Second Generation ... set 20 years after the original, with the alien Visitors firmly ensconced as masters of the Earth. The alien force is deeply entrenched, has turned many Earth people into followers and is sweeping them toward a dangerous new conquest. The Resistance seems to be fighting a losing battle when suddenly Earth gains a powerful and mysterious new ally.

Could this be the "enemy" that the humans were trying to broadcast a signal to at the end of the original miniseries? I can't wait to find out!
