Yes like ducks, lost croak - when do the usually wake there?
Some may even enter states of deep sleep for parts of the year when the weather is too cold or too dry.

Sorry, I've never recorded them while they were normal. All I can do is tell you how GROSSLY different they sound now, much higher pitch with an almost breathless quality.
