A simple , quick and efficient Qi Gong technique for everybody

Start with massaging the fingers from your left hand:

1. With the thumb and index finger of your right hand massage the upper and lower side of your fingers (the nail and below), starting from the little finger. Massage for 3-4 seconds the first phalanx. Then go to the next finger and do the same.
2. After massaging the thumb, you go backwards to the little finger, but this time you massage the sides of each finger. Massage for 3-4 seconds the first phalanx. Start with the thumb, then go to the next finger and do the same until you get back to the little finger.

Do this whole procedure for 9 times for your left hand.

Follow with the fingers of your right hand now. Repeat the whole procedure (back and forth) 9 times.
It only takes 5-6 minutes. Do it daily.

Benefits:
It activates all the 6 meridians of the arm (Lung, Large intestines, Heart, Small intestines, Pericard, Triple Burner).
So it helps with digestion, assimilation, immunity, overall energy, distribution of heat and humidity in the body, clarity of mind, calmness, and of course brings relief from joint pain in fingers, elbow, shoulder.

To your health!

Thank you for sharing this Qi Gong technique, Shared Joy!

I've started practicing it two days ago and really enjoy it so far. Dunno if it brings any significant health benefits, will have to wait and see, but for now I just like the process, it's calming and relaxing. And should be good for finger blood circulation and nails, at the very least.

So thank you once again. :flowers:

Yes, thank you, Shared Joy, for sharing. :flowers: It is surely very fun and relaxing.

Thanks for sharing this? I just tried this and it does seem to have a calming effect on me. This would also be great for people who type a lot!

Hi,
glad to hear that you like it! It helped me with my rheumatoid arthritis (plus other treatment of course). But it comes "handy", you can do it in your leisure time.

And if you have time you can do it on your feet too!

That is especially good for those who have liver - gall bladder problems (waking up between 1 and 3 o'clock at night, being irritated easily, talking to loud, lateral leg muscle cramps, etc).
It calms down kids like a wonder.

Enjoy it!

Tried it.

It feels great. I can feel tension leaving the body.

Thanks for sharing, I highly recommend this practice, daily. I've done it every morning since I discovered this post and intend to test it on others and see what it does when one doe it for them.

Thanks for sharing this, Shared Joy! :)

What is the specific technique called, if anything?

I tried this when I read it yesterday and it really made a difference, although it took me a few minutes to notice. It is similar the sense of calm I get after Tai Chi, which I have done for a few months.

Hi SMM,

has no specific name, just a stimulation of the endings of the 6 meridians of the hand, so it belongs to the qi gong family of exercises. It comes handy, therefore I thought you will all benefit.

Happy Holidays!
