I just watched this, and I must say I was surprised. By the poster and quick reviews I really suspected a crappy B-Grade movie and so never got it, but my friend told me it was amazing so i watched it and I must say again I was surprised.
It was very interesting seeing the metaphor of life today represented as the zombies, who have been taken over by the virus and have a need to feed almost like vampires generically are represented, but the soul given to the main character zombie "R" as trapped within a body unable to communicate with others who are all the same like him was really well done, IMHO.
<SPOILER ALERT>
Only near the end of the movie did I realise the Romeo and Juliet connections of the movie's roots, in the scene with the balcony, and of course with the main characters being named "R" and "Julie"... but the parallels with a society who only consumes mindlessly versus the few living remaining and the story-line of requiring the rediscovery of Love to become human again I thought was very well translated to screen.
Anyway, maybe I am reading too much into this, but it was a very heart-warming and well-produced production... what do you think?
