Every so often, I have these types of dreams that I can't explain. The closest thing I can relate them to is astral projection or lucid dreaming (something along those lines :P)
What usually happens is, it starts off like any normal dream. And then suddenly its like I wake up, but when I do I'm not laying in my bed, I'm awake in my dream. I can't even explain my dreams, its always something whacked out. I dream of places I've never been and I meet people I don't even know (but when I'm dreaming I seem to know them). I woke up in the dream, knowing damn well that I was dreaming. So I pinched myself and tugged at my hair (because I was told that in lucid dreaming you stop dreaming if you try to make physical contact or someone tries to make physical contact with you) and I still wouldn't leave my dream. I remember when I first started having these dreams I would walk around the landscape (or should I say dreamscape?) to see if it really was happening.
I seem to come back down to the present physical world when I open my eyes. I open my eyes and for a brief second i still see the dreamscape but then it becomes fuzzy, and through the fuzz the physical world takes place.
At first I just thought it was astral projection. But most of the time I don't even intend to do it. For some reason something just clicks and I wake up in a dream.
When I researched the subject of astral projection all of it basically told me was that you relax yourself, clear your mind and then focus on imagining you floating out of your body. It eventually happens and you can go anywhere. But when I wake up in a dream I have no memory of leaving my physical body.
Has anybody else had this kind of experience?
