What is the effect of cacao ceremonies on the body and soul?

Nowadays, the spiritual/new-age/self-help field is teeming with workshops and activities such as cacao ceremonies. Claims are made that it opens the heart or even the heart chakra.

I've participated in some. There's certain high that ensues which might make logical decision-making harder. It tends to connect people but also loosen the boundaries, especially relational and sexual boundaries.

The good facilitators tend to say: "Don't buy a boat." They mean: don't make any important decisions when you're still in the amplified field that the cacao and the coregulation tends to create.

I'm wondering what the C's take on taking cacao is. Is it rather detrimental or is it good because it relaxes you and thus enables you to have positive thoughts and emotions?

What is the recipe?
So they make this warm drink using ceremonial-grade cacao (preferably raw, organic cacao from cacao beans), water or plant-based milk or herbal tea (rose petals are added often), sweetener of your choice (agave syrup, coconut blossom sugar, dates ...). Often cayenne pepper or salt or some other spices are added to enhance the effect. The dosis per person is 40 grams of cacao. The drink cannot boil.

(Cacao in English is cocoa if I am not mistaking!)

The cocoa would be a potentiator - so a factor. It may be a driver, too. No idea! I don't know if the cocoa itself would be the main force. In other words, if you gather good-minded people, without cocoa - would it do the same result? Can be that the cocoa provides a special "tweak".

Sounds delicious. I think that is good for iron deficiency. Probably some vitamins too in there. I guess that it cant boil because with boiling the vitamins and other ingredients are desaturated and lost.

I really would love to get a hold of that recipe. What cacao it is, what cacao fat percentage? Its hard to get anything higher then 22 percent nowadays.
