when you eat a vegan and gluten free cake on your wedding day

I just read an article about Chelsea Clinton's menu on her wedding day. :P

It seems that Chelsea Clinton has been vegan since her ten years . The journalist explains what vegan means ( I did'nt know myself) : Vegan dishes are not simply vegetarian they don't contain any ingredients

derived from animals, no butter, no cheese, no dairy products. Chelsea Clinton is also allergic for gluten, so the journalist gives a second lesson : Gluten can trigger allergic reactions in people who suffer from

Celiac-disease and gluten intolerance . he citeert that gluten free-food are devoid of wheat, rye, barley or oat gluten.

in the end the journalist says : in fact mainstream eaters may be surprised to discover that vegan and gluten- free food can be delicious :)

Odd that, being a sufferer, Chelsea - or her parents - aren't active in promoting awareness and helping others with similar conditions.

Yes indeed I agree . May be the curiosity of the large public can be picked to search more informations about gluten and dairy .

That has been a very clever lie from the PTB. Those who are diagnosed with celiac or gluten sensitivity are often made to think that they are somehow different, or an exception to the rule. But the real exception are those who AREN'T sensitive to gluten! Not to mention diary, which probably affects everybody.

On a bright note, it seems that at least more and more people are stopping to eat gluten and dairy, at least in France. Recently, I had to make a reservation at a restaurant for a group, and when I asked for a non-gluten and non-dairy menu, they immediately said "Sure, we're getting used to people asking for this". Same with caterers. Hopefully, people will start really paying more attention, and stop poisoning themselves.
