Where did we come from?

Hello everybody,
I have a 5 and a half year old daughter, a few days ago she asked me where has the first man come from?
How can we explain this kind of thing to a child?
Thank you
M.S

Oh my, I used to love these kind of questions from my kids. Kind of an opportunity for a "Calvin and Hobbes" moment where the dad says something outrageous to Calvin in response to his deep questions.

Anyway, the answer is less important than the fact that your daughter has this curiosity about life. Why not be honest?!: "Nobody really knows". It keeps alive her sense of wonder and mystery and inner exploration. It let's her know the adult world does not have all the answers. Better NOT to try explain it! When kids are 5 they do not need a complex explanation couched with "perhaps; according to; and then there is the XYZ hypothesis; not to mention: do you mean our physical bodies or our soul consciousness units?". I say it is better to kindle her curiosity with a simple truth.

this remindes me of the joke where the kid asks''here does poo come from'' and the parent goes into a long explanation on the human digestion system and then the kids reply''and tigger?'' so are you sure its where do we come from or have we lived here always?

The answer I gave was ‘The Universe’. Of course, you then need to explain the additional notions. My kids (grown up as they are in their late 20s) are ok with the concept that we are alien beings to this planet.

Since most kids I've ever known appear to have some very psychic tendencies when they are very young, before it is programmed out of them, I would have no problem saying that humans and all creatures, plants, etc, were a creation of powerful, super-intelligent beings, whose job it is to introduce life in suitable places in the universe.

Of course, then you run the risk of "where did the super-beings come from?" I would probably answer that they were ideas in the Mind of the Universe that came to life, in a way, though they are mostly invisible because they are mostly mind.

As for matter, it is just "sleeping mind", or the thought of being solid and malleable, useful "stuff" for creation.

Where did "God" or Cosmic Mind come from? It is just the whole infinite range of possible ideas, thoughts, etc, taken as a whole.

As I can recall from what Cs said, our bodies were enginered in Orion labs, but it's not easy to explain that to a 5 year old really.

If I am to explain that to a my younger self I would say that our bodies are vehicles to an eternal soul, where a soul is a part or fractal of One Infinite Creator who, in words od Sufism "was a hidden treasure and wished to be known", so He made Himself asleep and separated so could explore Himself in infinite possibilities.

Life on all densities is part of that hide-and-seek game God plays with Himself.
