I completely forgot about that scene. It's powerful and poignant. And accurate.
For anyone who hasn't seen it, basically Will is being interviewed by the NSA because he's such a genius, and the interviewer (presumably some high level NSA administrator) says "So, the question isn't why would you work for the NSA, the question is why WOULDN'T you work for the NSA?"
Will's response is priceless. "That is a good question, but let me take a crack at it."
He goes on what might be considered a reasoned diatribe outlining a situation in a way that you could believe a socially maladjusted genius would do. It's painfully accurate, and that one scene says more about the state of US policy in two minutes than you'll ever see on CNN (not that I watch US news...).
When you consider that Matt Damon and Ben Affleck wrote that scene (and won the oscar for the screenplay), it gives me newfound respect for the both of them.
