Windows Operating System support

Without having more info to go off of it kind of sounds like you may have deleted files from your external HDD without emptying the trash can icon. I've had this happen to me while using Ubuntu. I would delete something from a flash drive to make space but when I try to add things to the flash drive it would report that it was out of space.

I've had that problem too :P and it took me while to figure it out, so it's worth noting, thanks Trendsetter37 :) But no, i spent about a week reading ubuntu forums and it was something to do with the 'temp' files which Deja Dup uses when backing up, and seems to be an issue quite a few people have (here: _http://askubuntu.com/questions/67397/why-does-deja-dup-say-there-is-no-space-left). And as you can see there are enough commands to make a newbie weak, and time was running out, and i had loads of space on the HD so i just dragged and dropped. And wished i had thought of it the week before :cool2:
