worlds oldest cats have coffee for breakfast??!?

This is a youtube video with the guy that twice holds the Guinnes record for oldest cats (one died at 34 years, other 35 years old, still living at time of the video )
Unless I understood it wrong, what he feeds them every morning is eggs, bacon, broccoli, and coffee...

I don't know if there is some chemical combo in that, that makes cats live longer, but perhaps it has nothing to do with the food, and the man just might have some cat healing powers.
Anyways I thought it was curious, so I thought I'd share..

Wow, that's a phenomenal age for a cat! As for the diet, who can work that one out? The bloke in the video is very kind and caring towards his cats, so maybe that is part of the reason they live so long.

The oldest cat I have personally known (belonged to a neighbor) was born the same year as me and lived to be 21 years old. Can't say for sure, but I believe this cat was never vaccinated or had chemical flea treatments, which probably contributed to it's longevity.

Thanks for sharing this Miss.K! I've got a sheer weakness for our 2nd D beings! Especially insane cases like this :) age 34 is crazy, I've never heard anything like that. Bacon and Eggs must have helped! ;)

Maybe you're going down the right path suggesting this guy has some kind of "healing powers", the age his cats are living till are double the expectancy, didn't see much cat food being fed to them though!

I would think it is more so in the genes and the fact that its not processed food.
My childhood cat was i think around twenty five when we finally had her put down. She was still very spry but her teeth were rotten and she was going deaf and blind. My uncle had one of her kittens live to close to twenty as well before he got a kidney disease. They were fed standard cat food all their lives.

Fantastic!, reminds me of a cat that moved in with us, he used to dip his paw in my coffee and would then lick the coffee off his paw!. He did not stay long with us, was very sick and eventually moved on but left us with great many fun and loving memories.

I have just finished reading a book about Edgar Cayce 'the sleeping prophet', who advocated that coffee without milk or cream, is a food, but with milkor cream can harm the digestion.
(Edgar Cayce on ESP by Doris Agee, page 199.)
Perhaps he was onto something.
My own cat lasted for nineteen years, but I never ever thought of giving her coffee.

Well, that's just a speculation, since we don't know about other possible factors that could contribute to animals' long health, but eggs and bacon sound as super food for cats, with a bit of broccoli as a sidekick. As for coffee, caffeine is often used (at least there) as a stimulant of central nervous system, cardiac muscle and respiratory system, or as diuretic. It has distinct beneficial effects, but in very low doses. So who knows.
