Youngevity Supplements

I previously posted in the 'Products' section about Youngevity and will now post about it here for its relevance to one's actual health. Does this product have any merit to it's efficacy or is it just another sales push with wild claims to improve our state of health? I want to put this one to rest, so I've collected the links that contain some detailed information about this "complete" supplement. Clearly vitamins / minerals / omega oils are essential to our functioning but when it comes to these things is it more about targeted supplementation (which is never disputed) along with whole foods and healthful fats or could this Youngevity stuff be an actual, viable form of having a multivitamin or "complete" supplement that's worth using to fill in what's missing at times?

Here are the links, please review with your thoughts and comments:

Included some other relevant information about the products for further investigation.

"As far as addressing quality. An example, the fish oil products are IFOS certified and every batch is tested for impurities by IFOS and rejected if the batch fails to meet this stringent guideline."

"As far as addressing this on our website, we explain IFOS and NSF certification and post the Organic Certificate of the Humic Shale material in the resource center of our website."

"As to the quality, we use cGMP certified manufacturing facilities and have additional certifications as outlined above for many of the products we carry."

Re: Youngevity Supplements - Tangy Tangerine

Hi Celtic Warrior,

Tang 2.0! I'd email them to find out the carb content. There's a lot of brown rice and other carby stuff. I'd also ask exactly what Rejuvasweet is. What is 'Naturally Sweet Branched and Linear Chained Cellular Energy Concentrates'? :halo: It also has natural flavor which is suspicious to me.

One red flag that popped up was that the product is promoted by Alex Jones.

I recently saw a bottle of this in someones frig. What caught my attention was the name which I associated with the Young Living products which is a quality brand (as far as I know) and has been very successful in the market place. So, quality by association, in the name chosen I wonder.

I know someone who did very well in one of these distributorship companies selling a liquid supplement made of seaweed. To be successful, she had to put a lot of time and energy into it though. If you dont have that type of motivation its nearly impossible to make any money at these types of things I'd say. Also, she got into the whole deal when the market was just starting to bring out alternative, quality supplements and people where inspired by having something that really helped with their health. So there was good costumer demand. These days the market is flooded with all kinds of products so much more difficult to be successful. This product is showing red flags for the more informed shopper it seems, so maybe a niche for those not so well informed but looking for "something".

By the way, I got a discount on my Berkey water filter by mentioning Alex Jones' name on the website where I purchased it. :)

Whoops, I thought I was posting this is the original thread about this product... can this be moved over there if its more appropriate? Sorry about that.

Yes, there are a lot of gimmicky products out there with red flags. After researching the Rejuvasweet it's that very carb packed brown rice and rice bran stuff. On the face of things it seems like the product is just "okay" but it doesn't seem a cut above the rest when it comes to the more informed consumer. Thank you for your comments.
