I'm not really sure where to post this but thought that 'Reflections' fits best.

Though I would like to be in a reality where there is no need for law I think that there are many steps before which deserve some contemplation. History has shown us that 'new rules' or a change in the thought structure is necessary for the evolution of our species.

For the next stage in our developement providing that everyone was at least aware of different perspectives and open to new insights, what would be your ideal Constitution? Or an article that you would include.

Free will should be respected at all times.

I think that keeping this idea vague is probably your best bet for spiritual development. It would be impossible to anticipate what a law like this could do to the population, but I think that depending on how it was introduced and how the public was mentally it could be a beneficial law. Maybe I am speaking too far ahead just yet. It also depends on how quickly people wake up and how they react to this reality.

All of that aside, I think that it would open people's minds to different perspecitves and interpretations. It would open up some interesting channels of dialogue. Curious of your thoughts.

What would you include to take us to the next step? :)

We already have a fine constitution. That is not the problem it seems.

Take your free will article above. It is a good idea, no doubt. But then remember that respecting free will means that you have to respect other's free will to violate your free will. Most people do not want to be abducted by aliens (for example), but is it not the right of the alien's free will to do that? You are on the right track to say that the idea should be kept vague.

A constitution is not much good unless their is knowledge behind it. A lot of people think that right and wrong is easy to interpret, but things are not so black and white. Their is right, their is wrong, and their is the specific situation which determines it. The context of a situation is more important than an absolute statement. That is where knowledge comes in.

Going farther ahead, special psychological knowledge is especially needed in today's world. It's not just a change in thought structure alone that is needed, but a whole new way of teaching people from a very young age certain truths. For instance, it is a truth that some people are born without the ability to have any emotion or empathy towards anyone but themselves. This understanding alone makes a set of guidelines like a constitution problematic. Some people do not want to see different perspectives, they do not want to open their minds to better understanding.

So, because of that reality, I can't think of another article in your constitution which would change much in our current reality/existence. I know you included the caveat "providing everyone was at least aware... and open..." but that may be just a little too optimistic for my taste... at least this morning it is ;)

Fair enough, but I am just trying to think ahead. And obviously have thought very far ahead for our civilization. I'm just curious what you think would be important before we move ourselves into a higher density. I think that free will is still an issue in the higher densities as well. Let me rephrase--

What would you add to our Constitution or what would you create to move our civilization to the next evolutionary step?
