For what happened, I‘m leaning towards a setup by team Trump. And Trump made a big TV friendly live episode of “you are fired“ out of it. Just hellaciously good if true. I’m just watching the Jimmy Dore Show live, in which the whole thing is dissected beautifully while maybe giving credence to that speculation. If so, Trumps first tweet a couple of weeks ago, calling him out as dictator, was maybe the start of aggravating Zelensky and setting him up.
Possibly. Brian Green from RSBN is the one who asked Zelensky "Why don't you wear a suit? You're in the highest office in our country and you refuse to wear a suit."
That's Marjorie Taylor-Greene's boyfriend and RSBN is a conservative media company.
I think the plan from Trump and Vance going in was to lay in hard on Zelensky and let him know who's boss. He's either gonna come to heel or he's gonna balk. Either way, Trump gets what he wants.
Zelensky is so used to pandering and free money from western politicians that he had no frame of reference for this situation. Add the fact that he was high on cocaine and voila!
Zelensky is done for and Trump wanted olit this way. He knows that the main obstacle to peace is the comedian himself.
Now, just to make sure Europe gets it into their thick skull that there's no future for Ukraine in this war, and we're off to the races.
I'm sure they'll quickly figure out that they can't possibly keep Ukraine afloat for longer than a few months without US financial and military support.

Lindsey here is putting on an act. He's transparent to me. This tells me this was all planned out in advance and Zelensky is finished. Wouldn't be surprised if he was out of office by next week.
Yeah agree with all the above. It’s over for Zelenskyy. He will look to Europe but there is no way they can provide the fire power. They have insufficient troops, logistical capability, aircraft, tanks etc. I have never seen anything like this played out on a world stage. Maybe next time wear a suit.
That exchange between Trump/Vance and Zelensky is not only the first time I've ever witnessed world leaders bickering in the Oval Office in front of the entire country, but also might be one of the most amazing things I've ever seen. They are basically yelling at each other. It's unheard of. This is the best theater anywhere. Trump is taking absolutely zero shit.

Apparently Zelensky met with "bipartisan" Democrats and Republican senators prior to the White House meeting. Did they encourage him to take a confrontational stance and crawfish on "the deal"?

Yeah I got the feeling that Trump needs Zelensky to be replaced. When he mentioned that negotiations can’t work when you have such hate, it suggests that Zelensky is the problem here. When Putin said he wants to denazify Ukraine, Zelensky and his Nazi buddies are exhibit ‘A’. I wouldn’t be surprised if Putin has removal of Zelensky as one of the conditions for stopping the military operation, which means if Trump wants peace he would have to sacrifice Zelensky first.
Considering that Zelensky got his country into this situation to begin with, and is fighting an unwinnable war against a vastly superior Russia, he should actually face a military tribunal. His actions resulted in deaths of countless Ukrainians and Russians, and continues to do so with no actual strategy or possibility of victory or end in sight. He put his pride above all else and until he and his corrupt government are replaced, I don’t think any true peace is possible anyway. He just doesn’t realize it yet - but the Ukrainian people will hopefully finish what Putin started.
