Erdogan is just a big mouth. He will do the same as he did for Palestinians. He did nothing.....
I believe he's more or less sincere about his sympathy for the Palestinian cause but he and his government have been inconsistent in so many matters, Palestine being an example.
Iran is the head of Shias, while Erdogan longs for being the head of the much more crowded Sunni realm, like in the Ottoman times.
Erdogan's government have had some direct and supportive relations with Hamas. As far as I know, he also took some efforts in the Organization of Islamic Cooperation and in the Arab League to cooparate against Israel, but, I think, not only they lack the collective motivation to do this, but they are also very prejudiced against Erdogan, especially due to his Ottoman-like aspirations.
Although Erdogan's government tries to keep good diplomatic relations with Iran, they also don't hide their strong anti-Shia attitude, especially against Iran's widespread military and political activities in the Middle East.
Erdogan's government has been witnessing the ineffectualness of the Sunni Islamic world, including themselves, regarding Palestine, thus they don't strongly act against Iran's involvement in this matter but they have always been suspicious, to say the least, about Iran's true motivation. They are somewhat justified because not only Iran has clearly been following its pro-Shia political interests, but also it has always been ambiguous whether Iran would "truly" act against Israel. In the last days, Iran finally began to "hurt" Israel palpably and I believe that this was somewhat unexpected, but pleasing, for the Turkish government circles. In recent months, a growing amount of Erdogan supporters in Turkey have been laudatory of the Houthi military actions against Israel, and now, with the most recent Iranian attacks to the cities of Israel, they are cautiously joyous about this development.
By the way, since the technological capabilities of the Turkish military have been rapidly rising in recent years, the government's military self-confidence has also been rising. The Turkish government has already been in a type of clash with Israel in Syria. Also, Turkey's anti-PKK and anti-SDF military activities in Syria have been hated by Israel, which, therefore, now increases its cooperation with the Greek and the Southern Cyprian governments against Turkey in all manners possible. I have been pro-Assad but I suspect that Ahmed al-Sharaa (despite being the head of a terrorist organization under US-Israeli influence) has not been as cooperative as commanded by Israel, and I believe that the Turkish government's involvement in Syria is a primary factor in this.
The Netanyahu government truly hates Erdogan. Depending on the developments, the Turkish government can really be willing to be involved in a direct military action against Israel. Better late than never.
