Swedish Television's climate crisis researcher: Increased mortality at 20 degrees Celsius :scared:

Alarmist news reports about the summer heat are coming thick and fast. The most active is state television, which repeatedly reports on climate change. Now, the tax-funded public service broadcaster is warning that northerners risk dying from the summer heat – even at temperatures around 20 degrees Celsius.

In a news report featuring so-called climate researcher Christofer Åström at Umeå University, the Swedish people are told that this summer's heatwave has serious consequences from a health perspective.

Åström refers to his research and states that mortality in the population increases even at 20 degrees Celsius.
“Our studies have shown that even at 20 degrees, heat-related mortality begins to increase. Slowly at first, and then faster and faster as it gets hotter,” Åström tells state television.

I have absolutely no idea what the guy smoked... :cool2:

My guess is that academia mostly sponsors "research" that fits into the climate change related narrative. Anything opposite doesn't get any grants. That is how it works for example in Germany, from what I have read too many times.

Unfortunately, it's the same in almost all "climate change" affected areas, especially in the West.
And as said in the video clip in the post above, even if somebody managed to get their decent work done without a gov sponsored grant, their results would not be published in any of the journals, therefore they would hardly ever get to be heard about.
It's kind of a double 'censorship' on anything not conforming with the current official narrative, and that's the situation in most if not all scientific fields and disciplines.

They don't actually say this in the TV news clip, but it looks like someone at Good Morning Britain, typing the tweet, isn't very bright or felt the need to push too far. The report doesn't address the possibility that local land could also be sinking, nothing to do with climate.
