Usually, as things have been so far, when they said they were planning to do something, in reality it meant that they had already done that just not publicly announced it yet. The statements in the media that they were planning to do something were more or less preparing the ground with their populations for the official declaration that it's already done.

The work for this post began with a translated comment about the Menorah and the Hanukkah 2025 festival shared on social media, but there was no source, and I began looking. With one piece leading to another, I discovered a few Ukrainian with perspectives on what is going on. If some of the reflections only came after a few years, what kind of process will await parts of Western Europe?
The Chabad movement and Ukraine
Recall BREAKING: Tunnel Found Burrowed Under Women's Section of 770, Possibly Destabilizing The Building from December 2023? Same group, but different scale. One TG post, has an image with a text that translates as Then Ukraine was sacrificed. The logo is from Media Brest and looking for a match gave a video from around 2020 with the translated meaning: Eduard Khodos predicted the unification of Russia and Ukraine (Эдуард Ходос предсказал объединение России и Украины). It is yet unknown to which extent that will be realized. More interesting, the post has a short intro to the person interviewed:

From April 6 2022, Zelensky and NATO plan to transform post-war Ukraine into 'a big Israel' or from the same year: Ukraine will be a 'big Israel' - Zelensky.
From February 25, 2025 A new Israel will be created in Ukraine, Новый Израиль Создадут На Украине. The person interviewed has a pile of Israeli papers mentioning the idea.
From July 12 2025 Ukraine - The New Israel, heavenly Jeruslem will be built on the ruins of Ukraine. from a channel established in 2008 with the description:

Is patriotism in Ukraine maturing?
In his most recent upload, Patriot's Hangover, using allusions buried in idiomatic expressions, talking about fatigue, health, lack of energy, diplomatically acknowledging those for whom nothing is likely to change beyond what they pick up from propaganda and the TV, (not encouraging people to proselytize) the speaker says that it appears, - with added emphasis on appears - that like a hangover, "it" is already now no longer like a tan. To understand "it", he uses it some what similar as COVID which he comments in another video, Global experiment, where he reviews a book, but see also this video where he comments on how Ukraine moved from one concern to the next within a day. Near the end, after having described different kinds of patriots and also the politicians and elites in power, he gives his opinion that there will be heavy hangovers from the patriotism, and that the actors, those in power will be in difficulties, but those who watch the theater and control it, (humming some notes from the beginning where he congratulates on the occasion of the Hanukkah) will be fine. Based on other uploads he is interested in the human experience, as some others are. He is also into breathing exercises and meditation. The translated theme of his TG channel, "The world inside you" is: "A channel for those who are ready to get to know themselves and the world around us"
It does not help the case for patriotism that some of the top corrupt people moved to Israel, as this guy was sad to learn:
It is symptomatic perhaps that he takes it out on the Bible and Christianity: In this case, he shows the Bible, says it was written by Jews, and misses no opportunity to advertise his own brew of Slavic-Shamanistic-Veda-ism. A variety of black and white thinking, possibly.

This YouTube channel, and it seems many other profiles on social media, share more or less frequently comments and videos related to legalities, sometimes wrapped in a strategic mix with talk of family life, hypothetical situations, health or alternative energy work and similar topics, probably not only to make the topics less dry, but also to hide that what they say might apply also to cases of people who would like to leave the country, but are not really allowed to if done without preparation, and those trying to postpone mobilization until some other day. One can also find videos with individuals going through live discussions and arguments with officials and others interested in taking some actions they do not really need to. or which is overreach or plainly illegal. It seems that fraudulent signatures, and contracts is a real problem and people can be stuck with court cases for a long time trying to prove a signature is false, or that there was fraud involved in contract
Without getting too detailed, here are two screenshots from an FB profile. To the left an image relating to the Ukrainian law and what rights the SBU have in relation to the individual. To the right the constitution of Ukraine, and what rights are guaranteed.
Here is another perspective from Ukraine, found as an FB post, by someone who apart from being into digital creation, possibly art, has been into eastern philosophy. Some people are learning that humans are not at the top and reflect on what this may mean for the individual.
Finally and this is the last, it is related to role of citizens in relation to the elites that use them.

Having in this post reviewed and presented a few of the ideas some Ukrainians share with each other, I have a question: Will more citizen in the countries where the leaders or many of them have almost fanatically supported the escalation of the NATO proxy conflict in Ukraine, eventually end up with some of the same observations and questions and realizations?

In the US, there has been more frequent mention of Zionism and the role it plays around the world. I'm not sure there is a similar trend in Russia, though in relation to Ukraine, there was from RT The Oligarch Part 2: How one powerful man made Zelensky president, Ukraine his pocket state, and sent it to war. Maybe such an article has the effect of saving Zelensky and others while focusing on a key figurehead, even if also he might have been little more than a tool.

Some things are worth fighting for and some not. There are also cases where not only is something not worth fighting for, but it would be wrong not to resist in some way. There are many situations.
Finally and this is the last, it is related to role of citizens in relation to the elites that use them.
The authorities must answer to the people, and not rule over them. Authority is neither a whip nor a throne. Authority is service, responsibility, and accountability to those on whose behalf it acts. If the authority orders, not explains. If punishes, does not protect. If it hides, but does not come out to people. If it serves the interests of a narrow circle, not the people, it is no longer power. This is usurpation.
Then the main question arises: who is in power now?
Those chosen by the people - or those who have seized control of land, resources, registers and lives, under the cover of “law,” “order,” “security”?
True power is not afraid of openness, does not hide behind fear, does not require blind obedience, does not place itself above men.
When a man becomes a resource, the earth becomes an object, and the people become a silent mass, it is no longer a state for people. This is a system that rules, not serves. And here everyone has to ask themselves: am I a subject - or am I the source of power? Because by nature, power belongs to the people, and not to those who have temporarily occupied the chair.
And the most important thing is that power rests not only on those who use it, but on the silence of those who allow it. Every time a person refuses to think, question, and feel the truth, he voluntarily gives up his power. Awareness does not begin with a protest, but with an inner choice: to be alive, a thinking person, and not a controlled figure in someone else's game. Because real power is not born in the offices — it is born in the awakened minds of people.
