Milei launches the "Isaac Agreements" to expand Israeli influence in Latin America

Argentine President Javier Milei announced on Saturday the "Isaac Agreements," an initiative to strengthen political, economic, and cultural cooperation between Israel and Latin American countries, inspired by the Abraham Accords.

Argentina will act as a "pioneer" alongside the US to promote this framework in nations such as Uruguay, Panama, and Costa Rica, with possible joint projects in technology, security, and economic development.

During the meeting with Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar, Milei showed his public support for Israel and Judaism, reciting the Shehecheyanu blessing and wearing a kippah.

Since coming to power, he has made Argentina one of Israel's strongest allies in the region, including plans to move the embassy to occupied Jerusalem, while opening the economy to foreign investors, even in disputed Patagonian territories with Mapuche communities.​

Javier Milei reformulated the Intelligence Law by emergency decree, and the SIDE will now be able to order the arrest of individuals.

Emergency Decree 941/25 was published early this morning, creating a new intelligence office within Manuel Adorni's Cabinet Office, meaning that Karina Milei will now have some of the control that previously only Santiago Caputo exercised. The opposition has already responded.

On Friday, January 2, the government published in the Official Gazette a decree of necessity and urgency that reforms the Intelligence Law (25,520) and adds controversial changes to that area, granting greater powers to the agency headed by presidential advisor Santiago Caputo. Among these new powers, it is established that the State Intelligence Secretariat (SIDE) remains the main body of the National Intelligence System, and henceforth the SIDE is empowered to "proceed with the apprehension of persons" while declaring all intelligence activities to be "covert."

According to the text, Article 2 establishes that "all activities carried out within the scope of National Intelligence are covert in nature due to their sensitivity, in order to minimize National Strategic Risk."​

VERY SERIOUS: THE END OF FREEDOM AS YOU KNEW IT.

While you were toasting the New Year, the government signed DNU 941/2025. This law legalizes a police state that intervenes in the streets, your workplace, and your university. Let me explain the decree in one minute.

THE "SECRET POLICE" IS BORN (Art. 19)

Historically, spies were prohibited from arresting people. That ended yesterday. The decree empowers agents to APPREHEND PEOPLE.
A plainclothes agent, without identification and protected by "state secrecy," now has the legal authority to pick you up on the street. They legalized hunting without a uniform.

THE ADMINISTRATIVE GESTAPO (Art. 3)

This is perverse. The decree obliges the ENTIRE State (Hospitals, Universities, PAMI, ANSES) to apply "Counterintelligence" measures.
Your rector and the director of your hospital are obliged to monitor and report "internal threats." They have transformed the public administration into a network of informants.

THE TRAP FOR JOURNALISTS AND POLITICIANS (Art. 4)

The DNU prohibits spying for political opinion, but adds a lethal exception: "Counterintelligence activities are exempt." If you are a critical journalist or member of the opposition, the SIDE can label you a "threat to strategic interests" in order to override the prohibition and enable legal espionage on your activities.

BIG BROTHER DIGITAL (Articles 23 and 24)

They created the "National Cybersecurity Center." This agency has the power to "monitor incidents" and "test vulnerabilities" throughout the state. They have the technical key to access the servers where your medical, tax, and personal data are stored.

TOTAL MILITARIZATION (Art. 32)

They broke the democratic pact. The decree removes strategic intelligence from the Minister of Defense (civilian) and transfers it to the military leadership (DGIEMCO). The Armed Forces regain informational and operational autonomy, reverting to schemes from 40 years ago.

EVERYTHING IS SECRET (Art. 1)

To top it off, Art. 1 establishes that "ALL" activities are covert. Secrecy becomes the general rule. Access to public information is blocked, preventing people from knowing what they buy, who they hire, and how they use funds.

THIS IS UNCONSTITUTIONAL

The President legislated on criminal matters (prohibited by Art. 99, section 3) and assumed judicial powers (prohibited by Art. 109).
The measure consolidates a repressive apparatus of social control to shield the government.​

The legal language may differ, yet it has already happened to others, like a wave to shore it cometh.

Perhaps it is like covid and the so-called vaccine that was coming back then. Individual nationhood did not get up one morning and say, this is what we will do and how we will do it. No, they were told what to do and how to do it from people somewhere afar. At first they might have been told, try carrots, and if that does not work, use sticks (where did that not happen was rare). At the time, there seemed little choice for leaders without a heart and backbone. What country was different? Daresay not many.

Anyway, sorry on the home front, Bluegazer, that is not good. Those Articles and Acts do replicate by degree elsewhere, or look to be replicating soon. It also looks quite coordinated, too - again, from afar.

Sounds crazy I know, but DD Geopolitics and The Grayzone both think this wild conspiracy theory has merit.

PATAGONIA ALERT: “ISRAELIS” CAUGHT LIGHTING A FIRE

Young Argentine Martín Morales recorded “tourists” whom he identified as “Israelis” lighting a fire in Los Glaciares National Park, an area where it is strictly prohibited.

The case has gone viral due to the young Argentine's justified indignation, but practically all of the media outlets that reported on this serious incident avoided mentioning the alleged nationality of those responsible.

The truth is that this is not an isolated incident. There are precedents from 2011, 2017, and 2023, to name just a few cases, of similar situations in which “Israeli tourists” have started fires in protected areas of Patagonia, where it is strictly prohibited.

Why don't they respect the laws? Will the authorities in Argentina and Chile take measures to prevent further disasters?

I'm not so sure yet. Any Israeli activity in Patagonia raises suspicions these days, and there are quite a few tourists of that nationality, partly because there are Jewish communities that facilitate their stay and travel arrangements. Perhaps there's a "cultural" component where the refusal to respect the safety measures in parks and protected areas that prohibit lighting fires, whether directly or with stoves, is strong.

This measure is even flouted by other tourist groups or by citizens of the same country, so it's a widespread issue.

I know that in the Chilean Patagonia region there were also a couple of fires caused by Israeli citizens, a huge one in Torres del Paine National Park in 2011-2012. Others have been caught making campfires, but most of the incidents don't end in fires, which diminishes the likelihood of arson for a large part of the group.

Using a grenade as an incendiary method is excessive; you can achieve the same result with simple fire. And of course, the FMK2 is manufactured in Argentina by FM.

P.S. Netanyahu holding a map of Patagonia isn't so surprising, since he was meeting with Milei.

Or did they know that the southern hemisphere won't be as severely touch by the coming cosmic bombardment as the C's told us. If true, it make sense that they will entertain the idea of creating a new "Jerusalem" in the southern hemisphere and Patagonia is as south as you can go.
