Message from my Dad.

The Force is Strong With This One
I’m not sure if this is the right place to post but here’s my story.
My Dad passes away in October last year from Dementia he was 91 and I miss him terribly. I was blessed to have to have the best dad in the world. The last 6 months was hard,Dad was physical there but emotionally and cognitively he wasn’t but I could still go visit and talk to him and hold his hand.
My last visit with Dad I new it was the last time I was going to see him and i said to him if he was ready to go and if his family was calling him it was ok to go and he did 5 days later.
So every day I would chat to dad about anything and everything and let him that we all miss him and hope he’s happy up there with all his family (dad was the last of his siblings to pass away).
I needed some reassurance that he was ok so I began asking him every day to send me a sign that he was ok like a train in the clouds or something like that. I know it was a tall ask. 🙄
My dad worked on the railways for nearly 40 years and was obsessed with trains especially steam trains.
About 2 weeks later I was driving home from work and for some reason I had an urge to looked to the sky and there amongst the clouds Dad had somehow managed to send my train. ❤️🥰
Not sure how he did it but my heart soared. Not sure how I manage to grab my phone and take a photo whilst driving too .😬
I have not posted photos before hope I get this right and hope you can see what I see.

Yup I see it too.
Makes me think of Harry Potter, Platform 9 + 3/4, Bertie Botts jelly beans, jumping chocolate frogs and the anticipation of wonderful new experiences, amazing friendships and adventures yet to unfold.

I'm sorry it's hard for you Kaz, we only get one dad and yours was clearly a splendid fella. Maybe it could help to have a photo of your dad somewhere you see it a lot - but one where he is young and healthy and happy, so you can visualise him back to his normal self, patiently waiting for you to join the family once you have had your fill of fun and lessons here in 3D. In the meantime, he's probably admiring and fixing old trains and talking to other train enthusiasts til he's blue in the face, if I know anything about train folk. ☺️

I see your beautiful train in the sky! It’s been 35 years since my dad passed. He was for long before I was born a dedicated model railroader. Our entire garage was a tiny city! Before he died, he built a working scale model of a Pacific Electric Red Car trolley, which now resides in the Red Car Museum in my home town. Here’s a photo of the actual car he duplicated. Maybe they’re working the switches together somewhere now!🚂

Beautiful story, out of the difficult recent times you seem to have both had. I was primed for it but saw the steam gushing train right away, and fairly prominent.

I am so happy to hear that your heart soared after seeing your dad's steam train, @Kaz. May it continue to heal your heart. Thank you for sharing this beautiful tale with us.
