Considering that the Iranians were ready to make all the necessary concessions for a treaty, it does not seem that they "baited" Trump into attacking them.

Actually I never thought those were real and just represented Iran doing a little game theory. It was clear to me and probably anyone paying attention that Bibi wanted to attack Iran and it was going to happen no matter what. Everytime there was a deal on the table the israeli's and Trump sabotaged it by making some insane demand...the most absurd of which was getting rid of the ballistic missiles. So, then if you know they are bad faith negotiations why not lean into it? Act like you have completely capitulated on the nuclear stuff, which everyone believes to the international community (who do not understand Greater Israel - i.e. the public that might be persuadable in either direction) as the main issue. Crazy ass concession you would never intend to agree to just to SHOW how absurd the attack was. That is the same type of move that would be carried out with someone clever enough to spread fake information on the country easily falling to the opposition. In fact after Venezuela I was myself wondering about that strategy....put in a mole saying he could disable everything and hand your country on a silver platter...and then deal the Americans a bunch of human casualties (i was thinking more in terms of another air raid, but who knows what was planned)- and looks like they are going to get that even though not how I imagined it before the war was initiated.
But this is perfect payback. Russia gets to give the US karma in terms of supplying their proxy with the best weapons (taht they can actually produce at scale :)). Iran and Russia have big ass oil bills. There was even talk about economic issues in Russia in terms of hard currency (not that I bought it) back in January and now they are in the cat bird's seat. You display America's true character or lack thereof and force their allies to stand with Neocaligula or make peace with Iran (even if they cannot quite stomach Russia yet).
Now Iran is essentially reverse sanctioning the world for what they ahve done to that country, with US allies and supporters of those sanctions hurting the worst.
The one thing that might be against this is the fact their country and leadership knew this would be at a huge cost. But maybe many of them preferred to go out as martyrs and they saw if the status quo continued - they would end up like Syria. I think this theory is quite plausible.

Someone somewhere shoudl hospitalize him as he clearly is not well - in the head if not in the body. I watching Trump on April 1 and it harkened back to the passages in the bible about Nebuchadnezzer who was so arrogant as the most powerful man on earth that God had to lower him to the level of a beast for 7 years. Trump literally has lost whatever mental capacity he has and literally is acting as a beast now! And he is also probably the most narcissicistic person ever in the White House and the "most powerful person in the world" by most accounts. It is almost like someone scripted this to rhyme with that tale (which I would not be surprised as they clearly are trying to play out some fake ass version of Revelations), or it could just be a good bit of karma coming back to bite him and the US in the ass :)

We know the decision was made to not have him die at Butler because that would have been too huge a breach of free will (hope I'm characterizing this correctly) - too many people were behind him/supporting him. Was curious on Webb. These two guys (Sulaiman Ahmed/Michael Tracey - who seem to be not so friendly with each other, and one is pretty hyper) had had a look at her: Whitney Webb admits "mistakes" in her wild Epstein theories.
Had found it hard to follow - they were talking over each other at times, yet examples were noted where it was claimed she goes off the rails (2 points). The one deals with Epstein in some earlier time (2009) as being an FBI Informant. A third guy jumps in saying even Grok (right, okay) backed her up based on the evidence (FBI informant) and that gets countered. There was much arguing back and forth along with accusations.
If anything, it is known here that there are certain cells within the FBI seem who are in the habit of running cover (if not setting things up) for certain situations and for certain people (let alone setting up FF's).
At one point, the one guy (Tracey) goes after Nick Bryant calling him a fraud (an 'out and out fraud,' he said) base on numbers of missing children (Whitney Webb is mixed in here somewhere) that Nick had not giving him any reports when he had asked for them. There was something about evangelic links and money, too, and also Bryant in an interview - maybe this one with Chris Hedges, where that one guy says the interview should be removed (it has to do with the issue of NDA's, he claimed).
Personally, think Bryant (Franklin Scandal) did a good job.

There are many conflicting reports about the rescue of the American pilot. According to the US, he is safe and sound, but Iranian media claim that the Americans are not telling the whole truth, even about the first pilot, whom they said they rescued, while several American fighter jets bombed areas in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad province, allegedly aiming to kill the second pilot.
This is a plausible hypothesis and I think that Iran could well have been negotiating along these lines, but I think the initial attack (the decapitation strike and the sacrificial provocation of bombing the girls' school) still took the Iranians somewhat by surprise. In this respect, I don't think there was an intent to lure the US and Israel into a fight, but rather to effectively respond with gradual, strategic overwhelm through a carefully-considered series of escalations. As the Iranians have repeatedly said, with facts on the ground seeming to confirm, they've been preparing for this for years and have stockpiled everything they need for months to years of warfare.
It's interesting to compare the different approaches the Russian and Iranian leaderships took to their respective conflicts. Russia was willing to be seen as the 'aggressor' by the rest of the world in order to secure the tactical advantage of a first strike, which could have feasibly secured a peace deal with Kiev if not for the intervention of London. Like it or not, ever since, Russia has had to deal with the stigma of "they hit first" in the public mind, even if much of the world understands that Russia was provoked into responding.
Iran took a more cautious approach in order to ensure the absolute 'moral high ground' and in this case, the tables have been turned: even the biased, anti-Iranian Europeans have been on the back foot trying to work out how to 'sell' the war to the public when it's clear to everyone with two firing neurons that the US and Israel attacked Iran in a flagrantly aggressive manner that violated all the statutes of international law and was accompanied with Nuremberg-level war crimes. However, as you mentioned, the price Iran paid for this has been steep. Their leadership was sorely wounded and they had to absorb a fair amount of infrastructure damage before they could start to respond in a more effective manner. Although events now seem to be turning in their favour, that leadership repair and systems damage was something Russia did not have to address. Putin and his team were better protected than the Iranian leadership and are still alive and leading the fight today.
Looking at such objective results, who had the better strategy? It's difficult to say. It hard to imagine the Iranians being able to exert such global pressure on the US now had they made the first strike. Yet, the pustulant western media still demonise Iran in every possible way they can simply because their corporate paymasters have deemed Iran 'the enemy'. So if you're going to be demonised whether you have the moral high ground or not, why not just strike first?
There's a careful balance here that seems to go beyond geopolitics, strategy and propaganda and has deep implications in the psyche of human collective consciousness. Most national leaders would probably attribute it to 'spiritual' factors, but on this forum we understand it also in terms of Hyperdimensional Realities, the Information Field and Archetypes of STS/STO. In this context, we might reframe the question: Whose approach was more STO in nature: Iran's or Russia's?
Although it 'intuitively' feels to me like Iran's was the more STO approach, on reflection, I tend to think Russia's was wiser. They have had to contend with a greater degree of 'heat' from the ingrained collective human social programming of 'thou shalt not strike first', yet the results seem to indicate greater efficacy against a larger, more dangerous opponent (NATO) and it seems that the long-term benefits for Russia are only just beginning to compound. One might feasibly hypothesize that Russia even took the majority of the blow that was intended for China as well. Should Iran emerge victorious, the US will be in no position whatsoever to 'contain' or even realistically challenge China.
As such, and as numerous commentators on this thread have pointed out, it's "all or nothing" for the hegemon and its éminence grise now. Trump seems incapable of restraining himself from ordering a ground invasion and even if the scope is limited to Kharg Island, the certain catastrophe that will ensure for US troops will likely force Israel to escalate via attempting to drag additional Gulf states into the conflict through false flags, as the US will be finally understood as being terminally incapable of seeing through Israel's desires.
At this point, China's carefully cultivated diplomacy with the Saudis and other Gulf states may come into play. They may be able to provide the necessary counterbalance against Israel. After that, things become much harder to predict. The C's have given us hints; perhaps Earth changes will start to exert greater influence on geopolitics:
