Color perception

Pink shoes white laces with grey underneath laces perhaps I can call that the tongue. I do see a green hue perhaps in the laces but that may be from the light in room or camera.

The shoes are grey and the laces are aquamarine. I cannot get my brain to see the pink no matter what I do.

BUT, if I zoom in, I can clearly see slight pink patches.

Yep, same here, mostly grey but with patches containing a "pink" hue. I think it's one of those contrasting effects. If you look at the attached, when on pure white or black, it looks mostly grey but when surrounded by aquamarine it starts to look a bit more pinkish. For reference, the square on the left is a sample taken from the most 'pinkish' area, while the right is the more 'grey' area. Although when isolated it looks a bit green compared to the pink one when on a white or black bg.

BUT, if I zoom in, I can clearly see slight pink patches. So this could be the source of the confusion. The image is modified in such a way, that it would appear mostly grey, but perhaps also pink at places.

Yeah, I see some background pink in the grey, but what puzzles me is a very few people seeing the green/aquamarine/turquoise as white!

I saw this this morning on my tablet and saw pink shoe and aquamarine laces,even showed two friends ,one saw pink/white the other grey/green...but now in the evening on my laptop the shoe is gray laces still aquamarine

I see grey shoes and aquamarine laces. I can also see very faint pink in some places within the grey.

Me too. I saw this on Facebook last night and tested everyone in the house with the same picture. My daughter saw pink shoes and white laces. My husband and sons could only see the green and grey.
