Colloidal silver lab testing comparison of products

I began using Mesosilver colloidal silver 15 years ago and have had excellent, quick results using it both internally and topically. I initially chose this brand based on the lab testing data shown in the comparison table at the link below. Note that the summary table is for U.S. brands but there's also a link for European brands. Also at the end of the table are explanations for the column headings.

A good page to read prior to reviewing the comparison table data can be found at the link below, where 2 key factors are explained: the difference between silver ions and silver nanoparticles, and the significance of particle size.

You might want to look at the published science regarding the latest colloidal silver technology. It is for a product that was deemed unique enough that the USPT issued the first silver colloid patents (3) to it since 1924, one even protects the particle.

Professor Rustum Roy, founder of the Penn State University Materials Science Research center, and a team of 8 materials scientists spent 4 years studying 6 of the prominent colloidal silver supplements on the market, seeking what could be found regarding their relationship to the memory of water. They were amazed at the American Biotech Labs technology and devoted most of the research time to this specific product. The research team also discovered that The American Biotech Labs creation was unique in that it was molecularly Ag4O4. Professor Roy later formed an alliance with American Biotech for new product applications for this technology. Roy's experiences with gels led to a whole new line of silver skin care products.

All of the published, and many peer reviewed studies, found here , were performed exclusively on the American Biotech Labs consumer products. Sadly most other manufacturer's "scientific" product comparisons simply deal with the physical differences and not what they can actually do. A good inexpensive point of comparison would be an MIC (minimum inhibitory concentration) study to see just how effective their products really are, as opposed anecdotal stories, i.e., at what level of dilution does a product still effectively kill all of the exposed specific pathogens in a set period of time - in this instance, 5 minutes. If all of the colloidal silver manufacturers had independent lab certified MIC results, then meaningful comparisons could be made. Some comparative safety studies would be welcome also. The American Biotech Labs even holds the first ever Double-Blind Human- Ingestion Study on Nano Silver, peer reviewed and published.

Lots of interesting data here.

I was so impressed with the antimicrobial superiority of this technology, 20 years ago, when I was experimenting with many of the established colloidal silver brands on the market, that I, along with two colleagues, cofounded lifesilver.com. We have been longtime supporters of SOTT and Cassiopaea.

That's interesting and helpful information. As a matter of fact, in my quest to treat MRSA after giving up on the inept efforts of western physicians and the specialists they sent me to, I was happy to discover the "Silvasorb" gel which was excellent for creating a continual barrier on the skin and very effective.

My wife had a MRSA related bone infection twice. Daily IV infusions of vancomycin were given. We read a study from India that using oral CS boosted the effects of vancomycin by 30%. I can't seem to find a link to that, but the treatment and our using the CS conjunctively was successful.

Here is an interesting report on coating the silver particles with antibiotics:

I am very impressed with colloidal silver. When I drink CS, it gives me tremendous energy. It is also the only effective treatment on my son's scalp. He has some sort of bacterial infection which makes his skin burst out with little itchy blisters from time to time on his scalp. No doctor was able to identify the cause or give any effective treatment. I use CS from a little spray bottle on his head after every bath time. He is not perfectly cured, but no more blisters, only occasional itchiness.
