I'm not familiar with DiSalvo's work, his books look worth reading. Looking forward to this show!

At the last NorthEast meeting both Jerry and I felt that it was hard to make out some of the hosts due to too much bass.
Some people don't have the issue, but they may have been using speakers that have less bass capability or sensitivity.

It's happening on the DiSalvo show too with Joe and Pierre being the most bassy.

I have bass turned down all the way on my speakers and sound card driver, and still its boomy, and drowns out the voice frequencies.

IIRC, Jerry has done the same.

Just for comparison, I have no problems with excessive bass on youtube videos or other multimedia programs.

Is it possible to reduce the boomy bass for the hosts?

Re: Show #60: Interview With Greg Palast

Thank you guys for another interesting show even though it was short but sweet. You have recommended What Makes Your Brain Happy and Why You Should Do The Opposite on the reading list for Cognitive & Social Science, which I will add to the reading shopping list.

Totally excited about next weeks show featuring Gilad Atzmon - a great thinker. I've seen him perform live and have also watched some of his talks on YouTube and he is so interesting to listen to :cheer:

[Mod note: moved post to this week's show thread]
