All this "numerology" garbage that you get in forwarded emails can be exposed for the frauds they are by applying a bit of simple algebra.


(Last two digits of birth year) + (your age) = 111
(Last two digits of birth year) + (2011 – birth year) = 111
Taking "ABCD" to be any four-digit birth year
(Last two digits of birth year) + (2011 – ABCD) = 111
(ABCD – AB00) + (2011 – ABCD) = 111
"ABCD" cancels out, giving
2011 – AB00 = 111

Which only holds true when AB = 19


Therefore,
Anybody born in the 1900s would get a result of 111.
Anybody born in the 2000s would get a result of 011.
Anybody born in the 1800s would get a result of 211.

There are endless variations of this scam where you are asked to plug your birth year in, and it cancels itself out, thus giving you the illusion of personal input.

I agree, its like those "i know what number you thinking of" games, just simple arithmetic with a slight 'trick' to it, and this doesn't even have that much.
As has been said in The Wave and transcripts, numbers can be played around with ad infinitum to find 'weird' things. my birthday for example, is 22 feb, 1988, so adding the digits in the dd/mm/yy format, i get 2+2+2+0+8+8 = 22, my birthday again. but it only 'works' in just that format and also in the current calendar we use. if our calendar just happened to be counted a day earlier there would be no such coincidence, just like 11/11/11 wouldn't be the 'same' day as the 11/11/11 we are going to have.

It seems to me like I was typing without thinking. As per usual I got excited from the email and wanted to share it without fully understanding it or even attempting to do so. Its a tough life being a sheep.... :P but I'm working on it. I was at work and didn't even think twice just posted it as quickly as possible so I could get on with work. Like I am doing right now...

I was into numerology gooblygoop and liked 11 & 22 master numbers.

supposedly "knowledge gain from intuition"
11 = 1+1 =2
1 leadership, independence (doubled)
2 teamwork, being a team player

My very limited opinion on 11 is that when you count on your fingers, you count from 1 to 10, and then at 11 you start all again. So maybe 11 is creatif in its cyclical aspect? Just a hypothesis :)

Understood champ, I guess the "whats on your mind" isn't supposed to be taken as litterally as I have done and I completely agree with your words, The last thing a place like this needs is to be messy with the likes of this kind of material. Is there any other place where chat is a little more welcomed? as in my immediate network I can not discuss or (Struggle discussing) the items/idea's that exist here.

I am 34 DOB 7/13/77 = 111. Numbers are truly amazing. I have noticed that my ssn and birth time seem to break down into the same numbers. I am eager to learn more about the mystery of numbers. :D

Instead of looking for a way that this network and forum can accommodate you, why not try to simply change the way you post, and the way you think about what you post. We all post casually from time to time, but we strive to always remember the reader, how busy everyone is and that it is always a gift to have our words read with the focus and level of attention that is typical of readers of this forum. In other words, realize that thousands of people will take the time to read your words and write in order to make that time well spent, or at least not wasted. External Consideration.

I don't know about weird, though it's certainly interesting: I was just thinking about how I've been catching 11:11, 1:11 and so on at the end of phone calls, turning off the TV, waking up...it's been happening for a long time. Anyway, I'd never checked out what's been said on C.org on the subject. I logged on to the forum and decided to first check the unread posts since my last visit before searching around for any 11:11 discussions and I randomly clicked on this stream first, with its discussion of 11s. Amusing.

I see it on ALL digital clocks, everywhere I go. At 11:11. How could so many clocks show the same time together? And it has been popping up recently in my OWN writing, whenever I write the abbreviated month and year for November, without the day. Pretty strange, huh. (Yes, I am being totally facetious.)

I suspect that a single vertical stroke -- or a series of them -- has special significance to our visual systems. I can't quote any source, but it seems to grab my attention more so than many other symbols.

That may be true and I've thought of that before. But, then why wouldn't I have begun seeing 11:11s and 1:11s many years ago when digital clocks came into favor. For me it started about two years ago. It happens frequently, though in random ways. I don't sit around watching clocks. I'm way too busy, a full time musician, not an office worker...I don't run by time---no need, most of the time. I'm also not big on fetishes. No need for religiosity. I finish something, look up and there's a clock with 11:11, or 1:11...day/night--POP--another occurrence. It's fascinating for a moment and then I return to whatever needs to be done next.

I've tried to sense anything unusual happening around those moments that it happens. Anything, in the way I feel, any sort of other dot to connect it to...but have never noticed anything else going on that could be associated on any scale that I'm conscious of.

what a pissa. The wonders of Syncronicities.... They are happining more and more often. I used to always wake up at 3:15 for some reason too for ages and ages when I was like super young. I would wake up at the same time in the middle of the night. (Maybe I subconsciously new about the bewitching hour or something) It was bizarre when I finally discovered the significance of that time.

aren't numerology and mathematics in general are the essence (maybe wrong choice of words) of our universe anyway? like Phi the golden ratio. there are bound to be numerous numbers and equations that have a significance if not a major imapct in our daily lives.

My mother has a special relationship with 11, she was born on 11/11 at 11AM and weighed 11 pounds, she was in the newspaper for it, she also has lived in a number 11 house for a long time now.

Seeing a lot of "weird" patterns though are just because you are looking for them at that time, osit.
