17 arrested in Canada(Talk about the pot callin' the kettle black)

I can pretty much see through this one but one quote struck me as oddly familiar and quite striking coming from someone who probably knows alot about "blending in" and assimilating ;)

"They are very indistinguishable from other youth....blend into our society very well...speak our lanuage...and appear to be, for all intents and purposes, well assimilated."

You can't even make this stuff up ! :)

O' Canada...

My, my things are taking an interesting turn in Canada for sure. Today's article on 17 arrested on charges of "participating in a terrorist group's activities; training and recruitment for the group; firearms and explosives offences; and contributing money or property for terrorist purposes", imo takes a new lead on the war against terrorism.

Further the article tells about the comments of Canada's Prime Minister Stephen Harper who states:
Canada was a target of extremists because of its liberal, democratic values and pledged to strengthen Canadian security laws, as well as provide further resources "to combat terrorism here and abroad.
Also note, the comments made by Jack Hooper (deputy director of operations at CSIS),

"Increasingly, we are learning of more and more extremists that are homegrown," he said.

"These are people who may have immigrated to Canada at an early age who become radicalized while in Canada. They are virtually indistinguishable from other youth ... blend into our society very well ... speak our language ... and appear to be, for all intents and purposes, well assimilated."

"There are residents in Canada that are graduates of terrorist training camps and campaigns, including experienced combatants from conflicts in Afghanistan, Bosnia, Chechnya and elsewhere," he said
Now, all the comments stated above are kind of alarming to me. I am a citizen of Canada from Iran for 11 years. I mean, everything that Jack Hooper is describing above is me, and every other immigrant that has ever become a citizen of Canada, who was brought up here. And then there is Stephen Harpers who pledges to strengthen Canadian security laws. Strengthen Canadian security laws from whom? Immigrants? May I remind Mr. Harper that Canada, and in fact the entire North America was created because of immigrants. Canada technically does not even have its own race, other than the aboriginal Indians, who have all as we know been entirely conditioned.

This is also an interesting turn of events considering the fact that Canadians have to start presenting Canadian Passports to cross the US boarder. In other words, if you don't have a passport, and you are a citizen you might want to get one ASAP because soon they will make the rules so tough that it will be next to impossible to get one.

On a further note, I wonder if this event is a slight of hand maneuver from the man 'behind the curtain', to distract the eye of the public from any attack on the World Cup, you know... the old Houdini trick, distract em' with one hand and full em' with the other.

Any comments,
Nina

Anything is possible with the floozies running things on this planet these days.Another scenario could be that the Bush regime has tightened its grip on Canadian poloticians(with what leverage, the PTB's only know) to cook things up in Your country as well so as to have a reason to tighten border controls in the north as well.See, we dont have an influx of immigrants coming in from canada so they need another reason to come up with in order to do what they are beginning to do with Mexico ;). Just another possibility.

It's pretty obvious that Harper is taking orders straight from the Bushites (even uses the same words and phrases) so none of this is unexpected. The good news is that so far most Canadians are refusing to panic (maybe later, when the Stanley Cup playoffs are over)
