The Sixth card is the Magician: This card symbolizes the rise and perfection of technocracy as 3D printing has replaced the need for human labor in terms of production, and they are living in the virtual world and that's why the figure is blindfolded with the as above and so below imagery as they are blind to God's world and enter in Lucifer with the Sun/Saturn halo representation. The figure is wearing red so that is more symbol of the Antichrist system as the colors are red, black, and white.

I think it is more related to Money printing or Money machine, also known as "quantitative easing" or "liquidity creation" (which mean: debt creation), you also can see the "infinite" sign above its head, wich clearly mean "unlimited quantitative easing" and the man has a virtual reality headset, which is the average state of mind of the financial economy compared to the real economy (in a total decalage)... This is clearly an humoristic reference (for who can decode: which is probably the case of the average "The Economist" reader) to the creasy behavior and tactics of all central banks around the world, who make unlimited quantitative easing to feed the market and sustain it... in a purely virtual way... (all will collapse sooner or later...)

In the Death card it seems to me that the two little flying figures at the left look like extraterrestrial beings. They don't look as insects, as some said they were bees. Also, what are the faces in the last card, in the stars? Can we recognized someone?

Yes, it's really weird. The stars do have faces, except the one in the middle which is a comet or a meteor. Death's waving his sword at what looks like a mushroom cloud. The magician is lost in a 3d world and the hermit is standing on the top of a cliff watching a demonstration at the bottom, the people in the demonstration are holding placards saying 'STOP' and 'TTP'. Oh, and the tower seems to have a red hammer and a sickle flag flag on one side (a Communist symbol from the Russian revolution) and a Christian cross on the other. Weird.

The tower card has two factions in the background separated by the tower in the foreground. A thought was that the destruction of the tower would lead to the unification of the masses behind it. Besides the banners/images held in each camp, it didn't necessarily indicate some kind of clash between the two in terms of war or chaos. The tower itself has a cross above the doorway along with papers in the doorway itself. The latter made me think of an eviction notice, and tied with the cross atop had me thinking of the Vatican. Maybe it suggests a reformation of the status quo in terms of the Vatican or its degradation, or some sort of healing in the schism between russian orthodoxy and the Vatican.

The world has 3 power structures on top of the world joined by lines connecting them to a book, a painting, and tragedy/comedy. I was seeing the book as knowledge, the painting as art/expression, but wasnt sure again the third except as the manipulation of emotions of the masses in terms of the former two. Above are simply the painting and book, but open this time. Does is represent the power structures loosening grip on knowledge and expression? And with the book open is that knowledge to become more available to people since its isnt as locked into that power structure? ( thinking in terms of this whole fake news drama and how it may backfire)

The only variance on the death card is with the base of the mushroom cloud. I see it more as a mass of violent waves, say after a meteor impact in the ocean. The foreground appears rather barren except for some bits of grass and golden rocks (maybe gold itself?) and in its center a depression with what remains of some lake/pond and a fish (which had me think of a sinkhole type event or even a tectonic shift since the left part almost seems to be moved up and away to the left from where that depression located, maybe even correlated to the impact event)

As for the wheel of fortune, i see the reference to the elections and the countries involved. On the left you have a clear sunny sky with France and potentially Le Pen, but her opposite with Germany and Merckle you have a thunderstorm with a lightning bolt striking her. Seems a bit ominous towards her and the chances of a 4th election. Gives the impression with the whole uproar taking place with Brexit and Trump and the populist movements in Europe that the trend will continue. The flag similarities and the attire of the left and bottom makes it seem like that side has the stronger "weight" to spin the wheel of fate in that direction. Plus the ballot paper on the lower left is curled, which seemed to imply to me that there was a "leaning" in this direction.

This to me seemed very fun, like a rebus, and here's how I solved it.
Looking at each card separately, I saw a different message, but since the Tarot tells the story composed of all the cards, according to a key, I chose the following.

The first card - "The Quester"
This position represents the person at the heart of the question. The position gives insight into current circumstances, situations and areas of concern. The Quester's immediate surroundings.

Tower:
Who represents the tower? Who is Questioner? This is someone to whom pilgrimages (knocking on door) atheists (to the left of the tower, it can also represent Russia and China) and the believers (to the right of the tower, the western world / Christianity). A sheet of paper, on the front door, I was reminded of Martin Luther and his 95 Theses on the door of the church. The tower / house + thesis / rules / laws = Economy
(Gr. Oikonomia - the management of the house, oikos - house, household + nomos - law, rule on the management). Questioner is The Economist.

Tarot:
The tower represents the structure of the system under which we are building a life and a moment when it collapsed. The assumptions that we take for granted, we begin to question and we're forced to think in new ways. It symbolizes change, a period of great turmoil, uncertainty and struggle, sense of danger, threat destruction, lack of love and mercy. Means the period of: sleepless nights, insecurity, fear and worry. There may be major changes that will shake up the safe everyday life: divorce, death, financial collapse or loss of a job. The positive side of this map is that after the collapse leads to rebirth, ie, opens space for better and better things in life.

Message:
The former type of economy (earnings) collapse, should find new ways of doing business.




Second card - "The Difficult Path"
"The Difficult Path" position gives insights into those forces that oppose the "Quester" (position 1). What forces or individuals stand in the way? Or, what qualities are currently lacking?

Judgment
This card shows the Trump sitting; in a black suit, black tie (black in Tarot = end, ending, night, darkness, sadness, death, corresponding to Saturn and Pluto), in the pose of an absolute ruler / King (holding symbols the reign). The background is yellow (yellow = color of concentration and intelligence, spirituality, worship, awakening, religion, divine love; refers to the sun and gold.)
Sit on the globe (Earth), the American flag, which extends / covers the location where it should be Europe / Middle East. I guess that shows the influence of the United States in this part of the world. The flag is not flying in the breeze. There are no ideals, not ideology. The message is clear. The United States and the rest of the world (which is influenced by the United States) will be in the service of Trump's ass (read: in favor of his personal gain and economic benefits).

Tarot:
Judgment is card: drastic changes, layoffs and reviews the past.
It says that our current phase of life come to an end. Now is the time to objectively look at what has come before. How we make it? Where did we go wrong? What valuable lessons have we learned?
This card symbolizes: a rite of passage (initiation), maturation, transition, judgment / consideration, reconstruction, human adventure, reincarnation after death, rebirth and awakening; world knowledge; awakening of universality, re-connect; the cult of the dead .... The Court suggests you a period of self-assessment, going into his own deficiencies and quality. Be sure that you are nearing a moment of life in which you reach the most important point in their life times, eventually you will feel that all the pieces of your life arranged exactly as you want. This card alerts you to the fact that you have to shake the feeling of guilt that accompanies you to give people a second chance (which you have so far been reluctant).

Message:
Do not dispute Trump's status president.
It should reconsider the initial opinion / judgment regarding Trump (from the perspective of economists = bankers, entrepreneurs, investors ....) And find opportunities for cooperation (common interests). He is a "player of our team."



The third card - "The Road Behind"
This position stretches behind the "Quester". It is the background or past mental state that is crucial to the current position. What has gone before? Where has the Quester been? Who or what has had influenza?

World:
On this card we see that it makes "Image World" / perception of reality (picture in the middle); Human laws, science, art, religion. All devised over the history of time: Egypt, Greece, Rome (Pantheon, the Basilica of St. Peter, Pyramid). Here, one can speculate that the pyramid represents the Illuminati, a Greek masks representing theater / world, where they are directing their performances.
Above, on the left, there is another picture. On it is a person hidden face, but one eye visible (all-seeing eye?). (I do not know why, but I have a feeling that the picture female person. I do not know if it's a particular person or just a "female energy").
On the right side is an open book (other laws / rules / instructions?) (Although it is obvious that it is a book, I still associate the keyboard, accordion or a church organ. Basically something is reminiscent of the music (sound)).
Behind all, there is a yellow circle (spirituality, worship, awakening, religion, divine love) from which spread rays on a blue background (blue = human plan, peace, authority, imagination, thoughtfulness, creativity, elegance, dignity, intellect, concerns to Jupiter and Neptune, or water) such that all springs from it.
(Showing self-importance of Asker, or recognition of some higher authority (force majeure)?)

Tarot:
Card World symbolizes integrity, fullness, achievement and satisfaction. This card represents a victory or raising the level of more graduation. The card tells us that we have enough and that we are good enough. In front of you is a period in which you finish a whole life period, which was not easy, but now is the time to harvest the fruits of your effort. You will achieve the highest goal in life and feel the fullness of life.

Message:
Everything in the world is controlled (in secret / imperceptible) and manipulated by some unknown forces (for "mere mortals" / non-elite).


The fourth card - "The Way to the Root"
This position indicates "Near Futures" and gives insight into immediate next steps. How does the present situation affect tomorrow?

Hermit

Here in the center of the card, a column of people (although at first glance look like a flock of sheep) that night, moving through a gorge / canyon / notch. People are yellow (awakening?). Carrying flags that read; STOP, NO, crossed TTIP, TTP, EU. The leading men (the first three on the left) look like soldiers marching, gaze directed forward, and raised their hands reminiscent of the Nazi salute. Only the fourth character, seems aware of the presence of a hermit (looking at him, visible both eyes) and waving to him. Their movement is conditional / restricted / directed to the configuration of the terrain, which is determined by the slopes of the mountains on the left. The peaks of the mountain look like a pyramid. Above them is decreasing month. In the sky are stars with five ray (pentagrams?) (I do not see / recognize the symbolism in the schedule).
On the right side, on the plateau, standing hermit and illuminates the way passersby. It reminds me of a lighthouse and it seems to me a counterweight to the moon.
(Personally, character hermit always reminds me of Diogenes. He lived in a barrel and with a flashlight looking "The Man").
In the bottom right corner, see the globe with a black lightning or crack. At first I thought it symbolizes attack on the stock market (New York, Wall Street) but the display of land, too little resembled the United States. More reminded me of the east coast of Asia, specifically to China, and the location of impact / cracks would be just around Beijing. The former Soviet Union was expelled from view; the primary goal is to China.
If we assume that the main event (column) occurs in Europe (night), and this part of the globe is illuminated (day), then it would logically have been to the other side of the globe.


Tarot:
Hermit represents: vigilance, withdrawal, the flow of life, inner glow, the inheritance of the past, consideration, beginner skills and achievements, spirituality, consciousness, loneliness, commitment to purpose and a willingness to share knowledge with others. It symbolizes the point in time where people's help is no longer even possible or necessary, a time when the need to rely on their own experience, knowledge and power. This card indicates that you have entered a phase of the need for understanding and truth, and to give you the outside world difficult path of knowledge. Do not run away from the need for solitude and isolation.

Message:
Do not worry about the events in Europe. Although it seems that our (economists / elite) influence is weak, we have our people inside the movement. The movement is focused / limited (financial / economic structures and laws), and have no maneuvering space, and only a few are aware of the real situation. Attention should be focused on China and destroy / divide their economies. (So destabilize BRICS?)

The fifth card - "Calculated Step"
This position depicts mindsets and courses of action that will assist the Quester moving forward. Something must be cautiously remembered. Moving forward, what should the Quester be mindful of?

Death

Death riding on a horse, is me automatically conjured up, the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse.
White Horse symbol first rider - the Antichrist (division / division).
"The atomic mushroom" - a symbol of the war. Insects / mosquitoes - a symbol of the disease. Fish out of water, stunted plants, dried up riverbed - symbols of hunger and thirst, and finally death itself as the fourth rider who combines all the others.
The rays of the creations emanating from the red circle on the yellow background (red = activity, action, strength, vigor, fire: refers to the planet Mars). The country is white (white = purity, serenity, soothing, calm, ventilation, chastity, drab, unclaimed, dream, surreal, refers to the moon and silver.)
But I was troubled - yellow nuggets (gold), and the atomic mushroom was too similar to water (blue, and tendrils are more like waves than on the smoke). Maybe this represents the atomic experiments in the oceans? Then this card is not related to humanity, but on Earth and influence the economy (mining, pollution, etc.) on it.
(There is a possibility that the atomic mushroom represents breakthrough plasma and everything related to it. But I do not know if the elite have the possibility of any impact on it. Or is have - HAARP?)

Tarot:
This card causes fear and disbelief that do not should be the case. Death card does not represent physical death but symbolize completion relationships, certain life stages, transformation, completion, end, regeneration. This is a card that says it's time to get rid of anything that is not useful. Try all finish before continuing on. The card highlights the fact that the completion sign of a new beginning and new perspectives and possibilities. It is important at this time to be brave and dare to new challenges that will greatly contribute to a better quality of life.

Message:
Re-examine all activities, and examine how they affect planetary / climate events. Quit or at least reduce the harmful activities.

The sixth card - "At the Great Well"
This position gives insight into an overall energy which defines the Quester and his or her fate. What is the outcome of this situation? What will ultimately be its defining issue?

Magician:
Magician, wizard, mage, warlock; classic pose of tarot cards. Left arm runs 3D machine, which produces home. House for me is: home, family, material well-being, existence. He wears a VR (virtual reality) device, a yellow circle around his head (the pursuit of material wealth / gold, cult, religion / spirituality is false). Circle and device to separate the head magician of a blue background (human plan, imagination, creativity) where there is a authentic spirituality (sign infinity = universe / everything what is, and everything what is not).

Tarot:
Magician represents personal power, intention, will and resourcefulness.
When this card appears in a reading indicates the potential to realize a few things. The key is in control of your life that gives you that you have a clear vision to know where to go to you to enable. Remember - the intention and the act are equally necessary.
Message magician is to start collecting the tools you need to reach your goal. Universe empowers us to manifest your vision. Use day situation in front of you to stay focused on your goals and personal power.
This is a card that is related to communication, acquisition of knowledge, information and thinking. Attribute of human power that has free will to use space power or animal magnetism (the impact on people). It represents the force with which we can make use of the forces of the universe and direct them toward our goals. His gift is ingenious, presenting our unique spirit that we can 'hire' to shape our world as we imagined. It takes you through areas of the unconscious that you do not know. It helps you to become aware of themselves, to come to terms with the painful memories or complexes.
Magician card represents a determination to act and when it is quite difficult. Reminds you of the fact that the future is in your hands and you are more than willing and able to carry out their dreams into action. Every decision you will make will have success in everything you do you will achieve excellent results. Right now is a time when you have the knowledge, skills and plenty of creative energy to initiate change that for some time you are planning.

Message:
Step up efforts to keep people in 3D. For creative people, should create problems around material existence and engage them by solving them. In achieving this is to use virtual resources (money, credits, taxes, social systems and laws). This wheel is not the right wheel of fortune. It has a handle, which can be managed by rotating the wheel.
The characters on the wheel are tethered (State gross income? National debt?), Which means that they had been set up in such a situation.
Waving flag (Netherlands, France, and Germany) confirms the direction of rotation of the wheel, in which a representative of Germany (Merkel) fall, and the other two figures are raised. They are dressed in black clothes (as well as Trump). The background is yellow. Ground is red as well as clothing representatives of Germany (activity, action). Above the ascend figures (left) is a white circle (may represent the sun, but I'm more reminded of the full moon).
Right above the drop-down character is dark cloud from which flashes of lightning. The people there are two sayings / curse that people use when they are very angry on somebody, „Lightning kill you" or "Arrow of God (lightning) in you hit". Obviously, Merkel did someone very angry. ;D
At the bottom, left and right are two blue (= human plan) the ballot boxes. In our country, when you vote, should round off the number before the candidate, and in these leaves are small crosses, which is in opposition, and I associated with acts contrary to the rules (manipulation?).
On the other hand crosshairs placed on the lottery ticket. Perhaps this means that one should not influence the elections (things left to luck). Meaning, obviously, depends on the electoral practices in each country.

Tarot:
Wheel of fortune symbolizes change, taking action, movement, expansion, luck, destiny, key moments in life. Draws attention to the fact that life consists of ups and downs, ie. From happy periods and heavier periods. When the wheel appears changes are inevitable. Wheel of Fortune advised to put themselves in the center you can stay calm and make good decisions when the world seemed to be scrambled and out of control. It is advisable to keep life optimism in these difficult periods because it will certainly come again time when "luck be on your side." The eighth card - "Accomplishment"
This position represents aspirations, fame and accomplishment. This position gives insight into the overall goals and the success (or failure) of the querent's ambitions.

Star

On this card there is a new feature; photos of real people. I believe that this is the basis for giving meaning to this card. I do not know who these people are. They are not photos of children, look more like a young person. Nine female and five male persons (if I estimate well). Are the photos of progeny of the elite, or are they in their younger days, or just photos represent "For younger world are left?" Photos are placed in the yellow stars (a star with eight rays, not pentagrams), in the middle is the drawn comet, all located on a blue background. Because the comet is drawn, I thought it does not represent a real danger for the real people (photos) more has a symbolic meaning, as well as the star (in which they are located). Below is a red planet, or are craters on the moon. (Moon represents the elite in action?).

Tarot:
After destructiveness which carries Tower, Star offers new hope. It is the light that leads one who wants to get back on track. She reminds him to look at the sky and ask the deity in order to receive help.
The star is the most positive and the luckiest card. It symbolizes hope, renewal, courage, a sense of fulfillment and well-being, the product of instinctive emanation, personal impulses; planetary motion that affects the destiny; universal unconscious; dreams, dreaming, means destiny, myths.... However, just like starlight from an earthly perspective, a sense of power super conscious is still unclear, but the goal and the meaning is incomplete (as light without heat). This is the display quality of consciousness in which ego has a dominant position, but seeks equal to cooperate with all other levels of the psyche.
Advises you to have faith in a good future because it will make your life become more: easier and happier. It's time to make the changes you want, because you followed a period in which you will all go out of hand. Do not be modest in needs and goals.

Message:
Encourage "young forces", ambitious and eager to prove that shine like comets, with their ideas and suggestions (to give them fifteen minutes of fame). Let develop new business tactics and elaborate plans, which we (Quester / economic elite) could use for our own benefit.

Since this whole "Tarot" is on the front page of the magazine, visible and available to everyone, even us, I realized that as the spread on the base. That is why I have chosen / allocated last card this sense. Also, to round out the story with the basics of economics, I did not go too much into possible occult explanations. Such a story (occult) might tell someone else.

I've been debating whether I should throw my two cents into this thread because the interpretation I get from it is rather esoteric. Even though the Economist is geared kind of towards illuminati types, I'm still not sure if they're not just messing with us. Of course the fortune is meant for the 3D STS puppet masters, but it may have some more general applicability as things may not turn out exactly as they think. While I think the interpretations given are pretty close, some of the impressions I have received differ a little in the details.

The Tower

The tower represents the establishment, which is going to collapse. The Communists, representing atheistic ideologues who advance material progress, and the Judeo-Christian religions, representing the faith based spirituality for probably a majority of people on the planet who are religiously inclined, are a part of that establishment. While spirituality and scientific materialism would appear to be in opposition to each other, they are actually two faces of the same Beast, manipulated from behind the scenes to keep humans mentally entrained in the matrix with a false duality. Apparently, something so earthshattering is going to happen that the underlying ideological paradigms maintaining this illusion are going to become untenable, and then irrelevant.

Judgment

This one is pretty cut and dried. It shows Trump remaking the complex web of global political alliances by rewarding those who are loyal to him and punishing those who are disloyal to him by condemning them to irrelevance. His propensity to surround himself with loyalists and punish traitors will eventually give him near absolute power over the US , like I predicted in another thread, and significant influence over the entire world. This is why he is portrayed with royal paraphernalia, such as the scepter.

The World

This shows all of the institutions which form the MCS that conditions human consciousness. There are banks, the entertainment industry, literature/philosophy, legislative institutions and so on. It appears that all of these institutions are subordinate to, and transceivers for, emanations coming from a higher reality, probably 4D, and in the context of the first card are struggling to maintain their relevance and evolve with the cosmic energies that are coming in.

The Hermit

The Hermit symbolizes the rise of populism against globalism, as depicted by the cracked globe on the bottom. I couldn't help but think about the Cassiopaeans' comments about traversing the "Valley of the Shadow" when looking at the imagery on this card. People seem to be doing some soul searching as to what is really important to them as the institutions they have been raised in and believed in are shown to be either irrelevant, corrupt, or outright fraudulent. How well the people navigate this process determines what happens in the next card.

Death

This is also fairly cut and dried, however I see multiple levels of meaning. Those who do not pass through the Valley of the Shadow successfully die. Furthermore, even for those who do, the world that was will seem to have died for them and everything will be in a state of chaos while people figure out what they need to do. The whole process will likely entail a great deal of death in general, the mushroom cloud could symbolize a stray nuke or a cometary impact, which will be accompanied by plague as symbolized by the mosquitoes. This coincides with climate change, creating an additional layer of chaos.

The Magician

After Death, comes the second birth. Here it appears the PTB are trying to install their perfect dystopian society from the ashes of the old one. While I agree with the 3D printing interpretation, I view this card as a bit of a double entendre. The magician is surrounded by a golden halo, a symbol of divinity, and he has opened his mental energies into intelligent infinity, while also somewhat paradoxically wearing a VR headset. My overall interpretation of this mess of symbols is that the Magician represents the control system of our planet, working in conjunction with he cosmic control system which rules our planet as well as others. From our perspective, 4D seems like a virtual reality which is dreamlike, and the energies from this hyperdimensional space condense into a slower vibration when they enter our 3D reality and coalesce into the more solid physical forms that we experience. These higher level magicians know how to push the buttons of our reality through the lower level magicians working within it, creating our home, which is really a prison. At the bottom we see mass produced identical housing being cranked out of the machine; a bit like making nesting boxes for chickens which are factory farmed and later consumed.

Wheel of Fortune

This one is pretty cut and dried as well. Globalism is falling out of favor and will be resoundingly defeated at the ballot box in the European elections. The PTB will try to coopt populism into controlled opposition as it is now the rising star, and recreate a false duality from which to rule once more. All of these politicians belong to the same wheel, and when the fortunes of one side are falling, the fortunes of the other side are promoted so as to retain control. As I commented in another thread, the vast majority of politicians don't really matter that much, they are just stooges for higher forces. However, these higher forces aren't universally evil, and the politicians may not end up doing what 4D STS wants them to do, ultimately.

When I first saw this card, I thought of an obscure comment the Cassiopaeans said about some people will "regenerate in youthful appearance" if the Wave comes through while you're still in the body. It appears that these young people are those who have passed all of the trials and graduated to some kind of cosmic consciousness. This could apply to both STS and STO graduates, as they rise into space and grow into a new reality with a higher scope of experience. What exactly is experienced depends on the reality which each individual chooses. Do you merely become "an agent of the Moon" or something more?

Conclusion

In a nutshell, these tarot cards would seem to be describing the process of the wave as it begins to directly impact our reality in a very tangible and direct way. I'm not sure if these people who make these creepy magazine covers really know anything at all or have any predictive capacity, but that is what I got taking the symbolism they presented at face value. It seems like an awful lot to happen in 2017, and would more likely be a longer term prediction, assuming they're even semi-accurate. I do believe however that all of this is directly related to the "OMG 40 days" prediction that the Cassiopaeans just brought up, and I personally think this Economist business might be a good question for the C's.

Quite a mind boggling prediction 30 years ago, especially since 2018 looks like a year when a major currency upheaval could take place…

Egon von Greyerz continues: “For conspiracy theorists, the Economist’s owners consist of a number of elite families and bankers including the Rothschilds. Was this a plan which has been in the making for a very long time? Or is it sheer fluke that a major currency event might take place in the year that the Economist predicted?

So what could be the events that will lead to a major disruption in currency markets and in the world economy in 2018?

DOLLAR COLLAPSE
The demise of the dollar as the reserve currency of the world is a certainty. It is only a question of when it will take place. The dollar does not qualify as the rock of the world currency system. Since the gold backing of the dollar ceased in 1971, it has lost 98% in real terms when measured against gold. But also against most currencies, the dollar has lost greatly. In Swiss francs for example, the dollar is down 77% since 1971.

The dollar is backed by massive debts and deficits. The US has not had a real budget surplus since 1960 and has been running Trade deficits since 1975. The dollar is backed by nothing but debts and a strong military. It is living on borrowed time.

FALL OF PETRODOLLAR AND RISE OF PETROYUAN
In 1974, the US agreed to support Saudi Arabia financially and militarily on the condition that the Saudis priced oil in dollars. Since most of the world bought oil from Saudi Arabia at that time, it led to a major demand for dollars, which is still the case today. That was the beginning of the Petrodollar which has enabled the US to live above its means for 44 years. But from 2018 the Petrodollar will gradually be replaced by the Petroyuan and also the Petroruble.

China, the world’s largest oil importer, will, together with Russia and Iran, switch from trading oil in dollars. Trading will be backed by a futures contract in Petroyuan with a potential convertibility to gold. Except for further military intervention in the Middle East, the US now has little chance of stopping this major strike against the dollar. The US is currently virtually self-sufficient in oil production and is no longer a major trading partner of Saudi Arabia. Therefore, the US neither can nor will stop Saudi Arabia moving its sphere of activity from West to East.

The CRYPTO BUBBLE AND THE CRYPTODOLLAR
The major event this year that has convinced many that we have a new currency system which is controlled by no country and no central bank is of course the Cryptocurrencies led by Bitcoin. In 2017, we have seen a mania in cryptos of massive proportions. At the beginning of the year, the market cap of all cryptos was $17 billion. As of today, there are 1,360 cryptos with a total value of $588 billion. That is a 34-fold or 3,300% increase in the value of cryptocurrencies in just one year. There are 589 cryptos over $1 million with Bitcoin being the biggest at $312 billion.

How can anyone believe that the world can function with a payment system that has 1,360 currencies which is continuing to grow exponentially with a new ICO (Initial Coin Offering) virtually every day. Cryptos in their present form will never be accepted as currencies. Bitcoin is up 20X in 2017. If that were a currency, it would indicate a 1,900% inflation or more precisely hyperinflation. But Bitcoin is not a currency. Also, it could never be used as a payment system due to the very slow speed of transaction. Bitcoin and other cryptos are just an electronic form of tulip bulbs. Like the tulip bulbs, the Bitcoin bubble can get bigger although the Bitcoin mania is now bigger than Tulipomania as the chart Indicates.

CRYPTODOLLAR
So if there will be a new currency in 2018 as the Economist forecast, it is unlikely to be Bitcoin or any of the 1,360 cryptos. It is possible that Bitcoin was constructed by a government in order to experiment with how a cryptocurrency would work. Or it could be as Catherine Austin-Fitts believes that governments are closely watching the crypto mania and letting private enterprise develop the market before they step in and ban all cryptos in order to install their own.

I would not be surprised to see the US government introducing a Cryptodollar in 2018 or later to replace the current dollar which they know will soon collapse. All existing debt would remain in the Old Dollar. The US government would then encourage and assist a fast appreciation of the Cryptodollar, just like Bitcoin. This would enable repayment of the Old Dollar with the new inflated Crypto$. Obviously, this scheme would not work but for a while a euphoric crypto world might buy it, hook line and sinker.

CHINA – RUSSIA AND GOLD
Neither China, nor Russia would fall for this trick. China would lose massively on their US Treasury holdings. This would drive these two countries to introduce some form of gold backing of their currencies or payment system. If the paper gold trading and exchanges are still standing a that point, China and Russia will use all their resources to break the gold and silver paper market. This would drive up the price of gold and silver into a mania that the world has not seen before.

WILL WE SEE A NEW PHOENIX CURRENCY IN 2018
So will the Phoenix currency, (which the Economist forecast in 1988 would rise in 2018), be a Crypto$? Or will it be gold backed trading in Yuan and Ruble? Or will it be the Bitcoin mania going to $1million? We don’t know of course. But what we do know is that 2018 is likely to contain many surprises on the currency front with massive volatility not only in currencies but also in most other markets.

What we also know is that although cryptos can go a lot higher before they collapse, they offer no protection for investors seeking wealth preservation.
