I just found this and wanted to share. I didn't read all of brightdrops comments but there are some really up-lifting quotes here. Although, I do think some are quirky.

37 Dr. Seuss Quotes That Can Change the World

Enjoyed reading those aluminumfalcon, thanks for sharing.

This one resonated with me:
Oh the things you can find, if you don’t stay behind!”

You’ve got to keep moving forward and progressing because there are plenty of things in the world to discover. Also, if you lead the way you get to control what it is you find, rather than finding things someone else thinks is interesting. The view from behind is not a very good view, as the person in front of you is blocking most of it. So get out in front and face things head on. You’ll find that it’s much more fascinating, and there is plenty more to see.

Very true and its mostly fear of the unknown that keeps weighing me back...

edit: progress though, since its better than self-interest

I remember those old Dr. Seuss books we used to read when we were younger -- like the Lorax, which was essentially a story about the consequences of human greed. Thank you for the collection of quotes aluminumfalcon, he was a remarkable and unique writer and artist. The one which struck me most was probably this one:

“You’ll be on your way up! You’ll be seeing great sights! You’ll join the high fliers who soar to high heights.”

They say it’s lonely at the top, and it’s because everyone up there is flying higher and higher. They say that success breeds success, so the higher you go the higher you go as long as you keep your sights upward.

It kind of reminded me of the "spiral staircase" that is always described in esoteric literature. I think that it's about the journey to connecting to your higher / future self, and the spiral depicts the cyclical nature of the process.

I also liked that quote you posted Theseus, very inspiring and not something you find every day. It looks to me like Dr. Seuss didn't want an ardent bunch of followers, and instead wrote to encourage the younger generation to reach their ultimate potentials as individual human beings.
