I found this recolored video showing Berlin 1936. It's mainly a propaganda video. But it also shows people dancing carelessly and sitting in street bistros without knowing what to expect. It's a very depressing parallel to the present.

Another recoloring of old video material, again a German city. This time, however, Hamburg and the year 1948. Very oppressive shots of ruins left by aerial bombs mix with everyday life in northern Germany. Gripping insights into an earlier time.
