An initial 6.1 (then lowered to 6.0) earthquake has been recorded in Fethiye, southwest of Turkey (touristic town) at a depth of 22.8 km. in the Mediterranean Sea. The residents say it lasted for 30 seconds. There are no casualties reported since most buildings are 2 stories high. There were some cracks in the walls of some village houses. But rocks that fell off of a mountain have blocked a road.

The above link shows the map where the earthquake happened. Mr. Ahmet Ercan, a professor of geology, has said "We are waiting an earthquake of 7 or more in this region." Since 40 years there weren't any quakes.
