About Time (2013)
IMDB says:
Sounds like another smarmy coming-of-age flick... but its not. A brilliant production with some of the most likable characters I've seen in cinema in quite a while... and funny too. Produced by the BBC and shot in scenic coastal Cornwall and London.
A father takes his awkward son aside and explains the family secret that all of the men in the family have the ability to travel backward in time at will, how to do it and what the limitations of this gift are. Imagine the ability to go back and correct some of those regrettable moments in our lives when we said and did things that were insensitive or triggered sequences of events that had less than desirable outcomes... then to use this talent to the benefit of all in one's life.
This an entertainment film and a pleasant respite from some of the horrors of the current objective reality. Good clean fun, but it also deals with the more poignant situations of the human condition. Two thumbs up.
