Acupunture and tendon damage

Hello forum, I have a question. For years my mother suffers with pain from severe tendinitis. I read an paper that extols the virtues of acupuncture for menopause problems, so I suggested to my mother to start seeing one. I wonder if acupunture can provide benefits also to severe tendinitis and joint pain?

Hi Iron,

I'm not a professional in the area, I do have some observations but I can't back them up with objective information as I lack the knowledge:
From what I observe in the clinic where I work, many people book in for acupuncture treatments to help them with tendinitis and joint pain. We have plenty of positive feedback after the treatments, but I guess it also depends of your acupuncturist.

Also, a couple of years ago I was having some problems with my knee and had a few sessions of acupuncture. It really helped me. Unfortunately straight after the treatment was completed I had a nasty accident where I damaged badly that same leg! The knee was ruined for another year
