A video made in '74 at UW, Ethnomusicology Dept, in Seattle. One 10 min. piece has recently been put up on youtube.com. It features a Robab solo by Ustad Mohammed Omar. Omar was the greatest living Afghan classical musician of his generation.
This typically amazing piece can nicely clear whatever 10 min. chill-space you might be able find in your busy day in babylon/wherever. Very accessable.
A TASTE of the Level of Culture which HAS been and currently IS being utterly trashed by psycho regimes from Moscow, Taliban, and now the Creation-hating "coalition" of the controlled. However, the music survives but those still in the country badly need instruments. There are non-profits set up to help.
