Hi all and happy holidays.
I've been a long time that really adds nothing to the forum, the reason because do not really know what make, because sometimes it seems that everything is already said!
Now I'm in a time of "data collection." I'm reading and
re-reading books and trying to work on myself all I can.
Well, besides that, it really is irrelevant but I wanted say, I have some questions about the terminology used in Alchemy.
I'm starting to dive into the alchemical texts, but I realize before diving into them need to have some clear terminology
used. And here I think come the complications.
Basically ask specifically about 3 terms, and as they
emerging questions and would like to share reflections.
These three terms are as follows. Mercury, Sulfur and Salt.
Right now I have 3 versions of the above.
Esoteric glossary: http://glossary.cassiopaea.com/glossary.php?id=95&lsel=All
Mercury: The Thought and Intellectual Center.
Salt: Engine Center
Sulfur: Emotional Center
From the book "A Brief History of Alchemy" Luis E. Iñigo Fernández:
Mercury: Top liability, volatile and female.
Sulfur: Active, fixed male.
Salt: The link between sulfur and mercury.
And the other source, Samael Aun Weor:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Samael_Aun_Weor
Mercury: metal soul sperm.
Sulfur: Sacred Fire (regarding the Kundalini)
Salt: Spirit.
The description of these elements as indicated in the Glossary esoteric me seems logical. Simply put, these elements relate to the constitution
individual's internal, and from there, alchemical texts, in first, talk about the internal processes in the Way, or on the way
access Way, or the whole.
The second description of the book above clearly speaks of the Law of Three and union of the parts, to put it simply. It's another way see it and I suppose could consider.
The third speaks merely of "spiritual sex" and the transmutation of sexual energy. I am not convinced too, especially knowing the source.
Moreover, even that "work" with sexual energy as there says, if not work with other parties in this respect, we will continue stealing energy
sexual center because we are not harmonized, therefore, work with sexual energy as indicated may be useless.
Honestly, I wonder what they think about the descriptions of these terms.
Also, as you read, compare the terms to see what more objectively how the terminology fits with the texts themselves exposed.
